How much trouble are Everton in?

Not an Everton fan but was listening to their game. Of the many close shaves they had, mainly in the 90s, I think this is the closest they've been to relegation and I think they will be relegated.

Are they still building their new stadium?

Everton will stay up.

The bottom 3 now will be the 3 that go down.

worrying times, if forest got the pen yesterday and maguire sent off, forest could potentially be ahead of them.

Be disappointing to see them go down

dunno bout that ... youd think Dyche will keep them up but gonna be tight with their fixtures. You never know what bounce Leicester might get.

Leicester v Everton will be a huge game for both.

Everton have:
Palace - away
Newcastle - home
Leicester - away
Brighton - away
Man City -home
Wolves - away
Bournemouth - home

You would have to say the only game you expect them to win there is Bournemouth.

Everton just look devoid of fight compared to forest from what I've seen so I reckon forest will get more points

Unless they actually do get relegated, then I think the 1997/98 season under Walter Smith would be the closest they had been. If Chelsea had not beaten Bolton or Everton lost at home to Coventry (finished 1 - 1 with Coventry equalizing in the second half). Then they would've been relegated.

Ah well, if they do go bust I'm just going to have to live with it.

I'll miss the points every year though.

I would miss a big(ish) team if they went.

Fans joke about it but it would just mean one less good game to go to each year.

If arsenal, spurs or even west ham just dissapeared it would be crap as a going fan.

Even when leeds went down it was a miss and we all hate leeds.

Leicester will have all the bounce of a breeze block.

They are finished.

posted on 17/4/23

Faaacking loads.

Even if they stay up they are in a world of trouble next season as well with a likely points deduction, unable to spend a bean and likely have to sell - they have about 3 players a club will actually buy. Their wages are off the scales.

They have little FFP wiggle room, in addition their owners money has dried up. They need another £500m to build BMD.

If they go down, apply all the above plus relegation - the points deductions could be applied to the Championship.

Leicester are equally in a world of schitt - that game between the two in a couple of weeks is a death match.

The bookmakers have Everton 4/6 to go down, that’s how bad it is, they have Brighton away & then Man City - they will do very well to get anything at all out of those games. Now that Calvert-Lewin is fit they look more dangerous but it might be too late…
