Reported today in more than one source that "Wolves are preparing to sell Neves" this summer for £40 million plus. Next season is his last on contract and looks like he wont sign another.

Reading the comments it looks like putting Neves back into your lineup would be a good idea. Maybe good for us though.

You needn't worry too much, you'll probably beat us anyway. After losing at home to Bournemouth I'm looking forward to getting better value for my season ticket next year.

Not shame in losing to Bournemouth at home. All the best Midlands clubs do it.

Who on here were bigging up Maguire last week saying they would take him.
A right ricket last night again, although to a degree De Gea sold him down the river.

As i said before, it will be very interesting how it plays out this weekend. If Neves comes back in and we play negatively and poorly then that will bring a lot of questions.

That said, if it is known he is leaving for sure then it is a situation that deals with itself almost immediately. Personally I would want Julen planning for next season and using the games left to do so and if we are to be without Neves then why play him once safe?

The reality is that it would benefit Neves to run his contract down and leave as a free agent next year. The club won’t let that happen, unless no one comes in for him with the right money.

I really trust that the situation doesn’t get unsavoury, Neves deserves to play at the highest level possible and has been a great servant to the club.

I don’t think it’s by any means guaranteed that he won’t be at Wolves next season. Has a club in the Premier League got £40/50 million for such a negative player that just sits in front of the centre backs playing sideways passes out to the full backs, and limits the teams ability to play with high energy further up the pitch?

Oh well, we’ve now gone to the bottom slot.

Funny that, I was thinking a few weeks back that I wasnt sure whether I could be bothered with the extra championship games again. 19 plus the odd away one now and again feels about right. All those midweek, dash home, no tea, get changed, dash out, miss the train, drive to wolves, no parking, long walk, get drenched, miss kick off games. No ta.

Never understood the hype with Maguire even when he was at Leicester. As I said a few months back, a half decent if cumbersome lower PL centre half, but £80m and the England captaincy? Don't get it.

Really don't get all this negativity regarding Neves. I realise we have had two good games without him, but I think we would have won both of those, perhaps even easier.

For me Neves is the best player at the club by a mile.

I think that's a fair assessment. He is probably not a top six level defender, but is a decent Premier League centre back and easily would play for a top half team IMO.

The discussion on here a few weeks ago was that he would get into our team. I think that is clearly nonsense and him making a few errors proves nothing really, as both Dawson and Kilman have made errors in recent weeks. In fact, Dawson has been made to look like he is running in treacle several times recently.

I don't agree we would have won those games more comfortably with Neves. I don't think we would have made the tactical changes in midfield which lead to those wins with Neves.

We'd likely have seen more of the same from the previous weeks in which we struggled against relegation rivals.

Neves the greatest skill player at Wolves since Peter Knowles in my opinion.

Blimey Southampton 3-1 up now.

Not only closing the gap for them but handing the title to City.

Arse-anal no chance of the title. Great to see their hopes crushed.

I don't think there is negativity towards Neves, he's been our best player this season, but Lemina and Gomes have the attributes we need in the battle we're in. Mobility, strength, a bit of pace and bags, and bags of energy. They can't do the stuff with the ball that Ruben can, but they are decent ballers too. And add to that Nunes playing with the shackles removed and you've got a pretty tasty combo. Nunes seems to be energised by not playing alongside Neves and Moutinho, you'd think logically it would be the other way round but his improvement over the last two games has been remarkable.

Arsenal v Southampton was a great game. I was actually disappointed when the final whistle went.

Yeah great game that. A result that doesn't really help either side though.
