He is a fantastic player, but he isn’t a striker. You knew that when you bought him. His movement drags defenders all over the place, but he does miss sitters.

We just had to let those Cheaters win the league didn't we Fecking Bottlejobs!

He's a great attacker but not a striker in the sense most people mean. We need a flat track bully to work alongside him.

Wonder if Kanes Arsenal shirt still fits him?

I dont wanted him at Arsenal in the first place. I am honest. I changed my mind completely. Yesterday he was piiiiiss poor I agree. But he is a player who can make things happen. He is a hard working player. I know a striker needs to score goals and he isnt doing that enough. In my view there is something more to a striker and Jesus has got it.

I don't understand why jesus has been given the freedom of the land in the last few games.

He does remind me a bit of alexis Sanchez with his erratic play at times

There’s a reason City binned him off. Decent enough but never was gonna win you a title. Before his injury he was the leading ‘big chance’ misser in the league.

If you want to progress as a club maybe go for someone like Toney

He wasn't binned him.

If you ask most City fans they didn't want Jesus or Zinchenko to leave. Most wanted sterling out and judging by his season they were right.

Arsenal fans shouldn't forget how he brought optimism and fight to the team at the beginning of the season and if xou compare Alvarez to Jesus this season, Jesus has been the better player.

The reason Arsenal draw was silly defensive mistakes not Jesus.

He isn’t the saviour and he doesn’t have the divine right to start every week.

True but two top managers clearly see something in him and it is not like you have better alternatives...just not nice to scapegoat when he wasn't the reason for the bad result.
We have had top player missing penalties and sitters for us...no one pointing fingers in the wrong direction...
He was never a 20+ season striker but he helps the team and managers think he is worth being in the team...it was the same situation with Pep.

He started well, or at least the side looked better than it has for years and he was new to it. So it's probably fair enough many saw him as such a difference maker.

Trossard was a brilliant replacement when he came in, showed it could be done without Jesus and perhaps he deserves his place back for a while.

Maybe/hopefully Jesus will become more clinical as he gets more games and chances than he did at City (due to not playing that much as a CF there).

If he doesn't though, we probably need to look for a better CF.

He got loads of chances at City, and missed many. Felt like he would bag one in every half dozen decent opportunities. Ruthless finishing is a quality he doesn’t have unfortunately, there is a reason we played for so long without a recognised striker despite him being fit. Top lad and works hard, but never a 20+ a season I don’t think

Looking in from the outside, this seems right to me. I see Jesus (and Zinchenko to only a slightly lesser extent) as the catalyst that took Arsenal up a level. Obviously, there's hugely impressive organic improvement, but that addition of experience and aspirations toward bigger things than most Gooners expected last summer (as well as his quality) seem to me key to launching a genuine title challenge.

His finishing is down right atrocious, missed at least 2 excellent chances last night and as usual fluffed them. Yesterday was a game where our cf needed to his 1st or 2nd big chance.

We play better with Leo up front.

Look at City creating same number of chances as last few season but haarland is on 40 odd goals yet when Jesus played for them he barely hit double digits.

His diving is also freaking annoying.

Plus what the faking point of Eddie? He's not an impact player and hardly ever scores off the bench. 14 plus games now and nothing.

Jesus addition allowed us to be in this position in the first place. He’s a terrible finisher but everything else he does is excellent. Could do with a proper no 9 though, heard we have a fella called Flo Balogan on our books…

I’d consider using Jesus more on the flanks. In fact we need decent cover / rotation for Saka. He could more than fill that role whilst freeing up the number 9 position for a more clinical finisher. Balogan or Toney for example.

I remember city using him on the right and he was very successful there

Exactly. Can actually see him being more effective out wide. Could also adapt it to how we used to play 442 when we had Ljungberg and Pires out wide with Henry, Wilford / Bergkamp up top.

Don’t think it’s beyond him to play the 10 role too.

We've scored 11 goals in our last 4 games with Jesus as our centre forward with him scoring 4. He's not the problem here is he?

We were scoring just fine with Leo up front. The problem is he misses sitters every single game. Wahts the point when he need 4 clear chances if not.more to score 1 goal.
