Arsenal have done better than most of their support would have expected so fair play. It has always appeared to me that they don’t have strength in depth which is the only thing that is going to cost them this season. Big summer coming up.

Man City are just a juggernaut especially under Pep, no shame finishing behind them this season and hopefully, the FA, Premier League can deal with their off field situation once and for all. No team is above the law👍

It's a shame.
Having said that, I think in hindsight, more could be done to integrate some of the backup players more regularly over the course of the season than we did this year. That way, when players like Vieira, Tomiyasu, Tierney or Holding come in, they still look match fit and up to speed instead of seeing quite a drop off. Especially from players like Tierney, ESR and Tomiyasu who were mainstays last season.

Yes we need to upgrade on players but at the same time, we need better rotation instead of the wholesale changes we saw in the europa league that never worked.

Said all season that the world cup meant City were always at an advantage with their deeper squad.

That we're still in the race is a minor miracle but we know what must be done In the summer to stay In contention, let alone progress, as other teams that dropped off this season aren't just gonna stand still.

Your defence has been crap without him this season. Shame as it’s cost you the title you’d think.

Pep is so experienced you can see how he manages players like Mahrez, Foden, Diaz, Grealish, Bernardo, De Bruyne, Laporte by reducing their minutes to coincide with business end of the season. We need to strengthen our team and not to overload key pls like Saka, Martineli, Saliba, Gabriel, Jesus, Odergard, Partey etc..

Hope Saliba is fit and fine for the next season.

We must strengthen our squad by adding quality,

I expect any half decent manager could manage to not over burden their players with the resources of City. I doubt could have done any better in that respect than Arteta has done himself if he were Arsenal manager. When you’re up against City, to stand any chance of beating them to the league you're forced to keep playing your best players. We’ve seen at Liverpool the eventual cost of having to do that.

Thing is that Pep’s the best in the business at squad management. Nobody else would get the same level out of all of these players across multiple seasons. It’s why there’s rarely a drop off in performance.

Think it's to put white back at CB and play Tierney at RB.

Such a shame we lost both Tommy and Saliba to season ending injuries in the same game. Talk about bad luck as Tommy could easily have been put in a CB or RB.

In hindsight if Arteta didn't really care about the Europa league he should have played Holding and kiowr as the CB in both games.

He also doesn't rest Saka enough who's looked Jaded. Even the game he was on the bench against Leeds he still being him on when it was 3-0. I was like what are you doing just leave him out.

We draw the games not because Holding was at the back. We lost control of these games because of individual brain farts that we havent seen before.

I would rather we play Nelson as RB than Tierney who is just erratic

Wasn't really holding fault that Partey had a double brain fart against West Ham and then against Southampton.

Wasn't holdings fault Ramsdale had a double brain fart against West ham and Southampton.

Them alone cost us 4 points.

Plus for some reason the team just couldn't string any sort of passes together after 30 mins in the Pool and West ham games.

Exactly that has happened.

Yes of course I would prefer Saliba at our back. I know Holding doesnt fill anyone with full confidence as he is a player who's decision making isnt the best.

He is a good squad player to have. That's it.

To make him the scapegoat for three draws doesnt feel right.

You can’t blame Holding for the dare I say “loss”, while we haven’t lost in 10 games, some fans have already given up. Stylistically Holding doesn’t suit our successful style this season. The players are erratic because they seem to nurse him throughout the game. Watching the heat map for Southampton game, one can see Partey was stuck most of the game there I wonder why?

posted on 24/4/23

Partey was mainly playing right-sided CB and leg huge gaps in the middle while also we were missing “unmissable” Xhaka.
