Vey disappointing….I’ve spent half of my life supporting this team in the lower divisions. I’m 54. I feel going down again will be catastrophic and we will take an age to get back again. Watching that game today was almost numbing - like the players had accepted their fate. I didn’t even celebrate our goal I was in such a state of disbelief that we look certain to be relegated again. Can’t actually believe the hierarchy have let this happen.

I feel sorry that Bamford, whom should have been selected to join England squad for Euros has become the object of fans ire.

^^^

Jonty come on. He was rightly ditched by England.
He played 60 minutes in a friendly against Andorra during the covid/training session season (no crowds).
And left no impression. He's only an 'England International' because that tw 4 t Kinnear spun it that way. He's not.

He's a Championship player at best. He's been fcking
useless for two straight seasons. He's paid 70k a week. For what? Keeping our shape? Keeping our shape all
the way to Huddersfield next season. Quite right he
gets battered by some fans.

He's one part of the club's many problems.

The squad is crap. Soft. Inept. However, the main fault
lies with Orta for building this pile of dung. And for
Chemical Kinnear trying to spin it and cover up the
obvious. But mainly Radrizzani for green lighting it all.

"I really dont know what the future holds, but I hope we have wholesale changes at boardroom level, we need wholesale changes on the pitch too and I hope we can for once have a season without a stupid coloured shirt.

Let's get back to what we are, a one club city, white, blue and gold, managers who KNOW our heritage, owners who aren't complete imbeciles on social media and an academy that produces."

He was having the season his life, he was in form and would have offered us a viable alternative to Kane when we had none.

And the point of all that, was that Bielsa made him into that.

No other manager before or after will do for Bamford what Bielsa did.

It really shows what an amazing job Bielsa did, how he transformed players, connection between club and fans and made us fall in love with football again.

I remember when he was asked, tales of him being in tears, the anecdotes of all he had done for fans....how we treated him was so wrong.

Is this what we’ve become? Players ignoring fans who’ve travelled miles to see them!

Not one player acknowledges one fan. Not even the little lad waving whilst stood in full kit.

We took this attitude onto the pitch and got what we deserved today.

Disgraceful!

You’d want to make a quick getaway too if you had to wear that hideous orange kit.

But seriously,, every thing Bielsa built gine.

But hey, at least we have the fruitful ROCNATION collaboration helping us through this ‘next chapter’

Well, my take is:

From our own efforts, we’ve failed and are relegated. We don’t deserve to stay up this season and by ‘us’, I should actually say ‘them’. Us fans, and particularly the ones who travel to watch that nonsense are the innocent party. It’s them lot. The owner, the board primarily but also the coaching staff and most of the players. They deserve all the negative criticism and (hopefully) lack of new opportunities that now comes their way.

If there are 3 other teams that are desperately keen to get relegated and mess up their last 4/5 games even more than we do, great. I’d obviously still like that to happen but it’s got next to nothing with what we can do, it’s all down to them whether we survive.

Anyway, thanks to all for your companionship on here. It’s been a very difficult season for all of us. I live in hope that things somehow, somewhere, get better for Leeds United. Otherwise, life goes on.

That’s shocking Stoopo.
Utter disgrace for the team to ignore the lad. It’s in stark contrast to when MB stopped his car to get out and have a chat and a selfie with one disabled fan who had waited by the side of the road to see him.

We need a proper leader again.

I am a little surprised by Coops I have to say. Always thought of him as a "family" man and he too blanked the fans.
Struijk and the other guy (missed his face) who went in front of the pillar should be ashamed but none of them covered themselves in glory.

Selfish overpaid players ignoring hard working loyal fans - utter disgraceful, that poor kid waving and players ignoring too busy on their fcking mobile phones. I am shocked and amazed at the show of disrespect, and now I know why this team is disjointed. I would sack the whole lot of them and McKennie should take that suitcase(full of burgers as someone pointed out) of his on a flight home.

We are basically at the point of needing a win to stay up. I think Forest will beat Southampton and go above us next Monday but then I can see them losing at Chelsea, home to Arsenal and away at Palace.

Southampton are gone.

Everton hopefully lose tonight, lose at Brighton next Monday, at home to City, away at Wolves and get no more than a draw at home to Bournemouth.

Three points might just do it if we can maintain our goal difference.

But to be honest I don’t think this shower have the balls to stay up.

Even our manager ignores the little lad. Cooper I’m really surprised at.

Remember this is before the game not after.

From everyone’s second team to this inside 14 months is a disgrace. I’ve no doubt it comes from the top and has filtered down to the point where most of the players just don’t give a fook!

Forest are going for it. We’re not.

If leicester win and forests goals yield some points were down.

Is a win enough for us, maybe, do we look likely to get a win in any of our remaining fixtures? Not with current set up.

Current being the operative word.

Whats not a surprise are some of the most bizarre and outlandish aspects that have happened this season.

A catalogue of 'Only at Leeds' moments

Sacking a manager having spent millions to get his signings in the January transfer window.

Manager should have been gone circa 'World Cup' back end of last year when it was clear that the playing system was completely tanking and a better appointment would be more likely to join.

35 Million for a player who has basically been absent from the pitch.

More 'Glass' acquisitions (Wober)

A club that can turn a good USA World cup player into the mobility of a Womble ( attitude also now seriously being questioned).

Everybody's Unofficial player of the season left on the bench in critical games - Wilf don't blame you if you want to walk asap.

Millions spent on the likes of Roca and Aaronson. ( Just because a player can run round traffic cone defences in Austria doesn"t mean it will work over here).

There's lots more but lets end on a mystery - How can an exec who basically got lucky hiring MB and Rapha be given so much slack? - The balance sheet is very heavily weighted in the negative.

I don't think it's the points tally that are worrying, it's the ability, fight, passion, and commitment of the players that is worrying. They needed to step up a long time ago and they didn't, or couldn't, either way it's now showing where their fate lies. As always Leeds United fans don't deserve it. How ironic we see just down the road Heckingbottom bring glory to the Blades, just to rub salt in the wounds. Football really is a funny old game.

Forest might be “going for it” but they have won 1 in their last 10 and gained 5 points. That’s compares to our 2 wins and 2 draws.

Yes they look a much better outfit than us at the moment but the bottom line is they can’t buy a win. Brighton was lucky as they met them after 120mins losing to Man U at Wembley. Even then Brighton had 75% possession, 17 shots with 7 on target. They lost due to stupid errors really.

Forest will be lucky to beat anyone barring Southampton and even that won’t be easy. Even Frank will get a win against them I think.

Yes but have you seen Everton’s away form? One win all season - October at Southampton.

I think Bournemouth is their only hope of points but they will be playing a team with no relegation worries who have just won their last three away games.

It’s all ifs and buts really. Out of the five teams at the bottom only Leicester will be safe before the last game I think.

The other four all deserve whatever they get.

We look beaten at the moment but just one spark could turn things around. Start by getting rid of the manager asap and bring someone in who has some passion and fight that he can transfer to the players.

God only knows who that could be. I’ve seen Big Sam mentioned and I can’t think of anyone else out of work who could turn this around now.

I don’t like the bloke but he has to have more fight in him than Gracia.

posted on 1/5/23

Yes Stoopo I think remarkably we can still stay up if there is a manager change like Big Sam who would relish the challenge and get the players organised and in a far better set up defencively injecting the players with the self belief, discipline and passion needed to survive.
Just a couple of draws could be enough the way Southampton, Everton and Forest are all struggling as badly as we are.
