None of them should get abuse, even the owners.

Articulate your point to the owners but not in abusive way.

Fans have to take a long hard look at themselves if sending players abuse.

I also can't for the life of me figure out why you'd assume I'm native English ......... ? For the record, i'm not.

Cloggy - Dutch maybe? If yes then in my experience very often have a better grasp of the English language than most native English .........

But yes - good, if pedantic, spot. Like most I suspect, I do know the difference between the 2 words, just often type without thinking. Especially on a football debate forum .....

Because they didnt rate them them 5 year ago, they have hated having to praise them. Now they are the scapegoats. Its pathetic.

Cooper has been hammered for years based on a few mistakes from ages ago.

Been very good in the prem, whilst fit, yet some dont think he is premier league standard.

It is weird

If the effort is there I can't understand how fans can be so against one of their own.
Makes me cringe this seemingly bipolar behaviour.
Must admit there has been one player I didn't like since Ive been following Leeds and that's saiz. Just didn't like the guy.

Can’t for the life of me figure out why you’d consider that worthy of comment.

But since you raised it. There are a bunch of possible reasons. Here’s one. There are several words that I always write incorrectly, even though I know the correct spelling/meaning. There/their is one of them. I only ever pick it up when I re-read. As I write a lot of copy for a living, I always look out for the regular misspelt words. But on an internet forum, I’m not fussed and can cope with the terrible embarrassment.

Of course I may just be thick as mince which is what you were implying.

Debating players merits, whether they are up to standard etc on places like this is fair game. It’s a forum for discussion… even if emotions sometimes run high.

Abusing people on social media? Just wrong.

Also for people who consider themselves fans - it’s actually counter productive. If you were Paddy, would you feel inspired to go that extra mile for our wonderful fans?

Agreed. Like post above, we can talk about whether we think players are good enough and the quality of their performances but sending them actual abuse and tagging them in? That’s not being a Leeds supporter in any sense of the word.

I don’t rate Bamford anymore. But it’s not his fault the club have signed a genuine number 9 replacement or competition for him in 4 years. Literally since Kemar Roofe went, we haven’t signed anyone to compete with him.

These promotion heroes should have been phased out into squad players 3 seasons later but the quality of recruitment means we are still relying on them.

It is rare to find a thread that doesn't have spelling mistakes, typos or grammatical errors. They don't bother me unless they occur in a post that is having a go at me. People look so foolish when they foul-up when criticising others.

Especially if they're criticising spelling mistakes.
Why bother? My spellcheck says we misspelt criticising.

I can’t, for the life of me, figure out why you left out two vital commas.

Good post, and I try to be fair, but honestly, Bamford just does my fu©king head in. He brings a lot of criticism on himself with his pompous attitude and if he is getting a king's ransom to play like a twelve year old, he deserves everything he gets. Just once in his life, he could say, 'sorry' I messed up there'. That would take a lot of weight off his shoulders. It will be karma that his miss against Leicester sends us down.

Sadly, the same happens on this forum and some of the insults are senseless.

Almost all of us are lifelong Leeds fans with diverse opinions about almost every topic.

To draw conclusions based in things we don’t know is nonsensical.

The same applies with the players; we don’t know what is happening behind the scenes, or at the club either.

Certainly, the messages that VOF refers to are not going to help the players to focus, leave alone improve,

Try to be in Bamford’s mind when he clicked ‘Delete’ on his account, and what he was thinking.

Mont, regarding Saiz; yes a valid point, but once again, we don’t really know what was going on in his personal life, which made him look like his was on the moon at times and not focussed on the pitch.

posted on 11/5/23

Saiz I suspect Mont disliked for his diving, spitting, card waving, feigning injury and berating of the youngsters if they passed the ball 2 inches away from where he wanted it.

Completely agree with the OP. All players contributing to promotion should be remembered with fondness. The only exception Casilla!
