Why?
I dunno about this one. Don't really rate him but I suspect he's one of those who does a hell of a lot that the casual fan doesn't see...he's got to with the calibre of clubs/managers chasing him.
Most Chelsea fans I speak to also seem to rate him highly which says a lot.
Manchester United have submitted an opening bid for Mason Mount today, as they guaranteed to the player days ago. Bid worth £40m. #MUFC
Chelsea have rejected the proposal, as per @Matt_Law_DT. No plan to accept £40m fee for Mount.

This signing is a bit Mata-esque in that I think we will get him, Chelsea will get a significant fee from us, for a player they don’t really use or rate, who will underwhelm for us in the long run.
Hope they keep rejecting our bids.

Would be a top signing for anyone but city (don’t need him) and maybe arsenal
He walks into every other team in the prem
Can’t judge him , or other Chelsea players to be fair, on last season as they were a mess
Poch would love him I’d think and surprised he doesn’t seem to want to give it a season and sign a small extension and rethink next summer ….think he may regret it

This would be a ridiculous signing of epic proportions.
Swear Woodward is still pulling the strings with our crappy recruitment.

Meanwhile Newcastle are closing in on Nicole Barella from Inter.
Barella and Guimares in the same midfield would be really good for Newcastle.
Tbf Chelsea do use him, maybe not as much this year but they’ve been completely shiyte even with their expensive new signings.
The last time they were good and their run to the CL final etc he was a key part of it.
