Edbo with an early 1 star
I’m sure I read elsewhere that he’s been chatting to Poch, whom he regards as a mentor and father figure. Maybe he’ll sign for Chelsea if he shows progress with training, attitude etc??
havent watched it all but thats incredibly brave of him and i know he had a terrible childhood
fair play GNev too
we are all with you Dele
So you got Kane doing Hot Wings, the Dier doc on Spursplay (lol) and now Dele speaking and pouring his heart out.
Think I'll watch Hot Wings first.
Heard it was a bit of a 'pandemic' in football, sleeping pill addiction.

No wonder he doesn’t use his family name on his dhirt. I remember him being criticised for that.
Just goes to show people shouldn’t judge without knowing the facts

Yep. Alot of people blamed Jose for Dele's demise but it looks like it was his own demons after he signed that lucrative deal.
I’m gonna watch this later because it’s rare to see footballers open up like this, hopefully he gets all the help he needs and manages to resurrect his career.

So Mourinho was actually doing charity work?

surely clubs need to look into this.
the amount of caffeine and stimulants players are on before games means that the only way they can get to sleep during a later kick off is with sleeping pills.
Been a bit of a problem for a few years now.

Dele : Now it’s time to talk.
Full interview here.
I hope he finds a new club and gets back to what he was. Terrible to hear what happened to him, hopefully he can find some peace.
Poor fella then had to go on and play for spurs too on top of everything else
Very tough situation that far too many children suffer through.
Hats off to him for having the courage to share this with the entire world! Haven’t watched the interview but my best wishes go to him.
gut wrenching interview, hope it has helped him on his journey
Shows we shouldn't really judge a book by its cover.
He probably saw football as a very useful distraction when he was doing well, saw it as fun. But there was probably a point where it started becoming like work (wasn't helped by the awful managers) and it stopped being a distraction. So you can only really live with your demons at that point.
I said all along the start of Dele`s problems were due to the departure of Poch and the arrival of Mourinho

And judging by the what Dele said in the interview you are still wrong.
Sounds like his childhood traumas eventually caught up with him . Such a shame because this guy had it all .
Surprising no idiot's chimed in yet with the overpaid, spoilt millionaires line.
