Hi Terry and good to hear from you. I agree that this site is better when politics (other than football politics) are left out of it. As for wrist slashers, they exist in every walk of life but we can always ignore/tolerate/be amused. I am far from slashing either wrist and will always support the team including in adversity and if I could be at PP would never boo or leave early. I just wish PW would at least think hard about ditching three at the back. Anyway, Terry, I hope you will start posting again and meantime enjoy Spain!

Desi, I get what you say about Brentford and Brighton, two superbly run clubs, but each season they are having to spend more to compete. Sales will not always yield the measure of profits Brighton have just realised and I'm sure that most if not all profits from sales by any club are spent on incomings via fees and wages. It's a never ending spiral which cannot go on and I suspect that even B and B will feel the pinch eventually. Clubs owned by the Chelsea guy or an oil Sheik may last longer but all these mega investors including other Americans may get bored with it all at some point.

Harper, I bet you are getting a laugh out of those Aussie whingers bellyaching about the Lionesses' crude tactics etc etc. What a display those gals put on and let's not forget, they were without three of their stars. Every one of them played brilliantly. They are obviously really well coached and know exactly what they are doing. (That's not a dig at DCFC, by the way!)
