Expecting to be short in several key areas of the pitch as we've taken too long to recruit and can't get deals done quicky even when we do want them. Still need 5/6 players imo but can't see us getting more than 3.

I think we will get about 3 players but yes not nearly enough. Probably be a scramble on deadline day looking for PL scraps.

I don't pretend to know what's going on behind the scenes but this is not looking good from any angle.
I've stopped reading the rumors, it's just pointless and frustrating. If we sign half of what we need I'll think of that as progress.
We've gone from dumb to dumber and I'm not really surprised.
Just going to back the team that's here,
(even Gonoto) and hope Farke can pull a rabbit out of his hat.

I still think we'll sign 3. And I also think we'll add
another 2 to 3 loans from Prem clubs. Hopeful.

Skysports stating that we're in talks with Piroe, we value him at 8 million but we are in talks. We're also in talks with Rangers for Kamara for 5.5 and Genk for Joseph Paintsil who seems a bit too good for us (8 mil)

We are looking at Piroe says Phil Hay but so are Southampton so you know which one he will go to.

We seem to get linked with a new person every day and nothing seems to materialise. So frustrating. Saw us linked with Lewis O'Brien again yesterday.

Can't see him picking us over them. His former manager plus league position albeit early in the season.

I hope Lewis O'Brien lands with us. And Kamara.

My expectation is the club get a move on and stop making excuses.

We urgently need 2 midfielders and a striker. From those rumoured I'd be happy with Kamara, O'brien and Piroe.

We probably need a creative midfielder/winger too such as the Brighton lad

So I would say 4 quality editions. Ideally I'd want a quality defender and left back but that would be beyond my expectation

After window closes we're told we worked incredibly hard behind scenes, delivered successfully against plan, dont want to waste money, only want to sign better than we have, have exciting academy pipeline and Farke great at letting youth have a chance, FFP etc

It will be glossed over that Farke has said we need strengthening everywhere, that players who were in his plans were sold, that he has had to play youth as he cant even name a full bench and no one will say where our money has gone.

Is the Piroe interest a leak from the club so we can get the same old “we tried” nonsense come the end of the window

I'm firmly now on the side of being an old cynic and I have definitely lowered my expectations and just see we have swapped one lot of cheapskates for another.

We'll probably bring 3 or 4 new players on loan and one signing that is around the 5 - 7 million quid mark, the barest minimum to appease the natives and probably easily offset against the sale of Sinisterra and one or two others as I'm not totally convinced that Gnonto, Summerville and Meslier will definitely stay beyond this transfer window.

I suspect the considerable net profit from the player sales courting the most interest from other clubs will be the sole property of the owners and their investors and sadly the better quality player we desperately need will not be high on the 49ers agenda.... Big profits for themselves and their mates trumps everything.

So with my old cynical head now firmly screwed on I will be content just to have a squad that firstly DF ensures we get to that 50 point survival mark and anything after that will be a bonus.

I would love to be proved wrong about the low bar I now think Paraag and his crew will set for us but unless Farke is a miracle worker like Bielsa I don't expect much more than 13th or 14th position this season which is a massive let down and huge 180 turnaround from my naive pre season pre relegation loan clause prediction of 100 plus points and promotion with half a dozen games to go.

I feel embarrassed quite frankly that I foolishly thought anything connected to Leeds United would go smoothly....Not on your Nellie!

I'm firmly now on the side of being an old cynic and I have definitely lowered my expectations and just see we have swapped one lot of cheapskates for another.
