Thoughts from today

I was wondering what happened to drameh,
Can't be good for his confidence.
Best part for me today was all the starting forwards scored. Have to get more bodies in but I hope they're all defenders and midfielders.
Unless of course there's still some outgoings to come.

Glass cannon sums us up right now. Good chance next time out v Salford and then Sheff Wed.

Three points away from home after a very shaky start.

As you say, great to have four scoring, all of them forwards, you couldn't wish for more even if I did. Very pleased for Rutter - he deserved that one!

Piroe has made an impact already but maybe he needs to up his work rate?

Pleased for Gnonto and Sinisterra too, but I have an idea at least one of them might soon be off, and I'd rather it was Gnonto, even though he put in a very solid shift today and scored a valuable goal.

Disagree about Ampadu - thought he got really stuck in today and played very well.

Shackleton is really following the Dallas model - played very well today (and what was the ref doing, not stopping play so he could put his boot on?)

Rodon also had a good game notwithstanding his horrible start - strong character.

All in all, a work in progress still but if we can continue to field that front line, if they can all stay fit - and there's Bamford, Summerville, and James still to consider - then we're looking good.

I'd invest in a creative midfielder and a left back, but even so, we're looking good.

And yes, hats off to Daniel Farke. He'll be very pleased with this result. Top top management.

oh yeah, one thing I missed out....once Gnonto scored he put fingers to lips and went over to fans, did he do that to the Leeds fans?

Great to have the focus on a win and 3 points. Biggest winner for me today was Farke. Pleased for him. Lots of work to do, obvs with the defence, but a very good step in the right direction.

Regarding Gnonto (and I see you mentioned this in the match day thread), his petulant finger on lips gesture was completely uncalled for. He needs to knuckle down big time or do the other one.

We need a right back, a left back, a #10, and one
more centre midfielder and we're laughing.

Yep, just posted about that. Didn’t like it tbh.

I dont why a few dont rate shackleton, injuries have slowed his progess.

But he’s quick, runs with the ball and gets stuck in. Thought he was very unlucky to not start.

Drameh was absolutely garbage. Hopefully we can get a couple of quid for him.

Thought rutter, finally showed something, all round game was excellent.

I would not of start Piroe, but proved wrong on this. Will score 25 if fit.

Sinni, never seen a player, hit the target as much from outside the box. Fully fit and stays, and he will get 15 easily.

Not struck on Rodon.

Front 4 were class but did need a bit more from them off the ball. Against top teams they can't just rely on their football ability. It left the midfield so open at times.

Gray has been playing well but was getting over run today so we do need another CM. Ayling Drameh very suspect at the back.

Drameh was poor, although he did play a class ball to gnonto, but to give him an excuse he was clearly uncomfortable playing LB. I still think there is a player but not sure he will be able to turn it round at Leeds.

I remember him playing for the reserves in the cup final, don't think I've ever seen a player in a game who was more above everyone else around him in terms of movement, positioning and passing. He was playing right back but you could still see he was a quality above everyone else on the pitchz it was just how he carried himself.

There is a player there no doubt, and if he is now getting game time here I definitely want him here.

Guy is a one man subs bench by himself, plays everywhere it seems

He just puts himself in situations were ref could card him, like the way he physically grabs refs.

I hope we keep him around. Bags of energy.
Saw a few calling him 'the new Dallas' hope so.

Thought Rutter's goal was excellent.

Farke's said from the off, he's not a #9. He's a inverted
winger. Piroe signing (holy sh 1 t we signed Piroe),
means Rutter can play where he's supposed to play.

Agree, our front 4 (actually more like front 8),
are about as good as it gets at this level.

Thought ref was poor at times, for both.

But VAR needs pausing in prem, with whats gone on this week.

The Rashford dive today, was a disgrace

That playoff first leg in Bielsa’s first season, he was the best player on the pitch.

He is great, just not stayed fit long enough to stay in the team and too many in front of him. Could be a good player for us if he stays fit

Piroe is a gamechanger

Having a proper striker allows the team to take shape and pressurised defenders to free up space

Just seen a stat posted that Sini made 32 passes and completed all of them. 100% pass accuracy 👌

Ref was a Huddersfield town fan from Ossett. My mate knows him. He used to play for Ossett Town youth team with him..

Just to add some news from elsewhere:
Sevilla lose again, that's 3 out of 3 bottom of table
Aarosnson sent off after 20 mins for second yellow
Rasmus and Llorente both subbed at halftime.
Wober's Mochengladbach lose 3-0 at home

Let's hope there are no early return clauses I think we're better off without all of them!

Personally, would be hugely surprised if Sinisterra is with us next week at this time. He’s no where near a championship player. Ridiculous quality when he’s fit and on it
