Bad news for strikers

What a fckin horrible season already. Just end it.

No c*ck injections for us this year.

No bad luck involved in this one...don't know who's idea it was to play someone who has aggravated a metartsal injury - presumably ETH - but this is the entirely predictable outcome.

To top it off we lost both the games he played in and conceded 7 goals in the process.

Patrice Evra will be getting a call from the boss soon.

Luckily we have Jonny Evans

When is Shaw back?

posted on 29/9/23

Surely something was off with his rehabilitation. He played all of July and August and picked up this aggravation at the start of September?

Maybe we should play less pre-season tour matches and focus more on training

And he’ll still probably play more games than Varane this season

Probably. Matter of time before Varane pulls up again and I rate him higher than Martinez as an actual defender.

Time for Harry to earn his 400k a week

The Harry Maguire renaissance begins now. Not everyone's cup of tea but I hope he makes everyone eat humble pie, including me!

Watching Martinez, I wonder if Maguire's mobility would improve if he had his legs amputated at the knees.

Jonny Evans will likely be the replacement who was exceptional v Burnley

An "aggravation" to a broken foot that will rule him out for the same amount of time as... a broken foot.

Sounds like he's simply done it again/it wasn't properly healed from last time and the stress of playing through preseason and the first few games has caused an issue.

Big blow for us, but also maybe explains why he hasn't looked right at all compared to last season.

Exactly, why the feck was he made to play pre season and not let the foot heal? Someone in the medical team needs shooting.

I just want to see a shell-shocked out of confidence Maguire paired with forty year old Evans. Is it too much to ask to just get it over and done with? It needs to happen.

I'm sure he was passed fit for good reasons. Metatarsal fractures aren't uncommon and neither is it uncommon for a player to do it more than once. Rooney did it twice only a couple of seasons apart.

Also the recovery time for them can vary quite wildly. 7-8 weeks is the minimum really, and sometimes it can be months. Really depends so I imagine it's just a bit unlucky with Martinez.

November was last I heard.

International breaks are usually torture but I'm kind of glad we have another two before Christmas. 😂

You do know that is exactly what we did with the first team players, yes?

Surprised he's aggravated it considering he's been sat down so many times.
