It's working so far at this level. Try what we're doing with the team we've got at present in the EPL and we'd get slaughtered most matches. Still it's early days and we will hopefully have some improvement and better players to come.

That’s bizarre from KDH. Options left and right on the break and he just turns in circles and loses the ball
----------------------------------------------------------------------

He needs to improve his play in the final 3rd and he’ll be a great player but it lets him down a bit currently. Time to improve it and hopefully Maresca can help him with that.

He had Mavididi wide open down the left, could have tried a through ball for Vards or a long range shot, but dithered and eventually lost the ball. Lot to learn.

Yeah - I personally think the championship is KDHs level. I’m not convinced he will make the step up to be honest but hey I hope he does

I have a question for you chaps who are far more ‘in the know’ than I could ever hope to be-those of you who follow or attend every game.

Have City been adopting this ‘playing out from the back’ business all season. It resembles those one-sided matches where one team is overwhelmingly confident of being so far ahead of their opponents that they see ‘them’ as being no threat whatsoever. The epitome of prospective champions who feel unruffled. My heart goes into my mouth every time this occurs. They’ve already been caught out once by Blackburn and yet don’t appear to have learnt from this. The ‘keeper persists in playing out instead of targeting a front runner. I assume this is how they’ve been instructed to play but they will come unstuck again.

End this nonsense I say.

It’s a soft free kick but a rubbish challenge from Vestergard

His decision making when he gets his head up and can drive into the final 3rd is where he has the issues. If he can be coached on that he could make the Prem…

Hey Downsouf - would be interested in others viewpoint but from my perspective yes, it’s been a huge part of Enzos style of play since day one. Now Rodgers was similar but Enzo seems even more set on it - particularly with the goalkeeper. Rodgers would happily let schmeichel punt the ball long or make a long throw to find a player - we’re different under Maresca. It all comes from Hermason who to me seems to be under the instruction to make the short pass from a goal kick

McAteer on. Fatawu has been fairly quiet today

The fact Patson Daka is on the bench for a championship club is remarkable. One of Europe’s brightest prospects before Rodgers got his hands on him. Plus the fact any striker we sign can never thrive while Vardy is here

Ndidi a step overs 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Oh that’s one for the highlights reel. That’s the worst attempt I’ve ever seen. Bless him. He’s not an attacking midfielder and never will be

Poor again from KDH 😡 overhitting a simple pass for Vardy to put him clean through

Get Coady on for Vestergard

Thank you for your reply Blacksy. I am now reassured. I cannot help but admit I am concerned by what I see (at times) though.

That's bad, hamstring gone by the looks of it

Great. Seagrave sttrikes again. Can you guys remember when we were able to keep a first team fit? McAteer now out for a few weeks

posted on 1/10/23

We won the championship in 2013/14 with barely any injuries. Won the PL in 2015/16 with no injuries. Ever since that facking vanity project and a reshuffle of the medical staff everything has gone downhill

posted on 1/10/23

Gutted for McAteer - hopefully it’s only 4-6 weeks and nothing longer.

Yeah but it shouldn’t be happening. How many non contact injuries do we average compared to other teams? Would love to see the stats over the last couple of years. This season is going the same way. These are young players - we’re not talking about players in their 30s here

Doyle out long term as well. We signed Cannon with a broken back ffs. He failed his medical.

If we can’t keep players fit our season will start to fall apart as it has done for the last 2 years

Better peno from Ian. I was thinking he shouldn’t be taking it having only just come on.
