ETH had a very good first season, and been backed with another fortune this Summer, so what is it the owners have done so very wrong since May to see us so bad?

Much of what's wrong with the team currently of his own making.
He seems to have his favourites amongst players whom he refuses to drop from the starting team no matter how shyyte they are

Not drawn up a short list of potential stars in positions we need, a la Brighton, and one genuine star in a position most needed

I bet he wont be sacked very soon.

Quite.

I thought we all understood that after the Rangnick episode we were all in it with ETH for the long-haul.

Thats at least 5 years.

He didn’t really spend a fortune, Spurs, Arsenal, City, Chelsea all spent more and we shifted a fair few from the squad for peanuts.

We signed 3 players. I’d argue we could’ve spent it better though.

I know you all blame the Glazers for everything but who is the CEO - The person who hires the manager and DoF, is it one of the Glazers?

Genuine question.

I think it's Joel Glazer who has the final sign off on these things but I imagine Avram also has a say

We don’t have a DoF

the CEO is Richard Arnold. We dont have a DofF but we do have a Football Director, in John Murtough

I know the Glazers are terrible owners and, but what is he trying to achieve? Cos there doesn't seem to be an identity on the pitch

You can spend a fraction of what United have and put out a team with intent. Or are we saying that behind the scenes is such a mess the manager doesn't care anymore?

Anyway point I'm getting at is, why sign Onana if the style of football doesn't necessitate him? Could've been a forward or creative player like Eze. I think that decision is getting overlooked.

In the current set up United could well have signed Sancho, Haaland, Rice, Maddison & had Pep in charge and they’d still be top 6 at best right now. Managers are not the issue to an EXTENT.

Yes ETH has been given huge amounts and his head will roll because that’s what many will call for but it’s very unlikely the next guy in will do any better with what’s going on out of his control.

Ok I’ll give you haaland, but how would a PlayStation, ford mondeo and a square garden help us?

How do you figure? You get a manager with a clear style of play and sign players to suit you get better. Or at least look better. Ten Hag hasn't just walked through the door. Sure he's not able to sign £100m players and there's other stuff going on but the point I'm making is, by now it should be clear what he's trying to achieve. It should be obvious whether a ball playing keeper is essential to how he wants to play or not. Or that without player X he's going to struggle to implement his system..

Conte was miserable for us and the club was in shambles, signing a mishmash of players and the whole thing being depressing. But you could at least watch the team and see what he was trying to do

ETH won’t get sacked until we can’t get top five which should be with the spend the minimum expectation.

He is on a massive contract and was happy to take the job eyes wide open, at the moment it isn’t good enough and most of us are scratching our heads to see the positives but he could well turn it around, he has this season, over to ETH

Did he sign a 3 year deal or 4? If it was 3 he's only for 18months left to run on it.

3 years with an option for a fourth.

I don't want another manager sacked because it will not solve anything long-term, we'll just see a new manager bounce then a massive drop off. The new manager will inherit an imbalanced squad, etc, etc. All too familiar.

Let's get to January, let's hope ETH is still here and backed in the market to plug gaps and weaknesses in defence and wide areas. Let's also get rid of some deadwood, starting with Sancho.

Onana, Turkish GK, Regulion, Amrabat, Mount, Hjojlund.

Thats hardly a thrifty window.
