Seen the first two episodes... Coogan is immense, it's uncanny.... and the show really shows the fear of the victims and the greed of those around him, who accepted what was happening for their own betterment.
Seems like good timing too, where there are a lot of men who seem to instantly side with the accused and can't ever figure out why people don't always come forward the day after getting attacked.
And the BBC considered firing Gary Lineker over a tweet
I'd bet Savile was the tip of the iceberg too. Thinking they could get away with everything.

I was at a taping of Jim'll Fix It back in the early 90's
My vivid memory of it was the difference in him when the camera was on or off.
Between takes he just sat in his chair like a fackin zombie. Didn't talk to staff or interact with guests.
It's a pity he didn't live long enough to see justice.

There are a few partridge moments in it.
"Saville's Travels, a show where i go up and down the country interviewing normal people" made me snigger.
I’m not normally one for conspiracies, but talk about an establishment cover up.
From the BBC, The Police, Thatcher and other politicians, and The Royals; they all f*cking knew.
It’s mental nothing ever happened to him while he was alive, even I knew the rumours as a kid. Sadly people had a far more relaxed view of that sort of thing back then, I’ve no doubt there are many many more celebs/people who did stuff (maybe not quite as extreme) back then that have got away with it.

Seen the first episode. When Coogan is playing younger Savile in the 60’s I find it hard not to feel like I’m watching Partridge, because of his walk and gait. Kind of takes the edge off of it a bit for me! But appreciate the way he’s played the role.
