I really like Ren. Couldn't care less about the charts, I couldn't tell you the last time I looked at them.

I have a bit of an issue with a bit of hypocrisy on his part. He made quite an issue over not being commercial - including in the song Hi Ren: "I never chase numbers, statistics or stats. I never write songs for the radio, they never even play me though, so why would I concern myself with that". Then he spent the last week desperately begging anyone who'd listen to help him get to number one. Success always changes people.

But I think he's very talented and deserves success.

Very similar to the way I've felt.

I thought he changed a bit in interviews as well.

I'm more into the likes of Chalk Outlines and the Screech trilogy. But very talented.

Yeah definitely some stuff on the album I like but things like Hi Ren and the Jenny and screech stuff is next level.

It's mainly been the Big Push asking for support, especially his mate Romain, Ren's still in Canada I think.

Yeah it's even more impressive that he's been in Canada this whole time unable to do any appearances or promotion etc. but he posted online a lot encouraging people to buy/share the album etc. It's fair enough really but just felt a bit at odds with things he's said previously.

I think he's got talent but as for the song in the link I hated it. Couldn't even get through two minutes of it. But people clearly like his music so each to their own.

Fair play mate. I like album tracks from Beautiful South Albums, no-one else I know likes them lol.
