Carrick very almost got something against Stoke at home at the weekend and has Boro sitting all the way up in mid table in the championship. If he can do that with the players he has at his disposal at Boro then imagine what he can do with our players.

No manager will fix this mess
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s not true.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s 100% true
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course it’s untrue as it suggests that there aren’t plenty of things a better manager can’t improve.
What is the mess? Players not being coached well. Poor choices of signings. Baffling tactical choices.
The glazers can be blamed for some of it but they really don’t have any influence on the training pitch and once we get a manager who can do the right things we’ll be amazed at how OTT we went when saying that it’s impossible to fix a mess.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No manager will fix it.
Some will try. And they will also fail. Just like the rest. And every manager that we hire will spend and buy diffrrent players and fail in the same way. And every cycle we go through will get shorter each time making the problems for the next guy even worse... until one day the supporters stop coming, the owners will stop spending, and the trap door will open and you stare relegation right in the eye.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s just needlessly negative thinking and factually incorrect. There’s zero evidence at all that states each manager change will make the situation worse.

Ok robb. Whatever. We need to see this period through. I would stick with him for now.
Problem with many United fans is that all they know is Fergies times and winning stuff. And now its gone tats up they are adamant that because we are the biggest club in the world (err we arent) we could never get relegated (lol) if the owners keep spending.

How do you coach players that don't want to coach themselves?
Do you honestly believe Antony practices things outside of mandatory training?
Gone are the days of the Beckham's, scholes, Ronaldo staying hours after training perfecting their ability
Now we have mugs who can't even do the basics.
Rodgers would drop everything in Scotland to manage United.

Nonsense. I have seen Antony practicing on one of those Dance Dance Revolution machines at the local bowling alley.
There's no point in changing your manager again until you change things higher up the chain of command. Old Trafford right now is a talent black hole: players and managers who go there are inevitably dragged down because unlike in the fergie days, mediocrity and incompetence seems to be accepted.
The Glazers don't care because the money still comes in, and there seem to be no consequences for failures in player recruitment, with ridiculous wages being given to players who are either past their best, or their best is inadequate for where united want to be.
Until you have the sort of change that happened in the early years of fergie's reign, nothing will change on the pitch.
Give it to gigsie... etc etc

Howe or Emery are two coaches who would instantly improve but who would be mad to leave their current clubs.

On a daft United contract you cant just flog the ones that you buy for £70m + and £250k week and dont fancy anymore after 6 months. You either have to pay them out or hang on to them for years polluting the culture at the club meanwhile waiting until some mugs can finally afford to take them off us.
Or just follow the Newcastle approach and hire a manager who can turn the likes of Almiron, Longstaff, Wilson and Joelinton into very good players.
Problem is that Newcastle isn’t a poisonous mess of a club like Manchester United since they got new owners. We’ve actually quite a lot in common with Ashley’s Newcastle actually.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
When Howe took over it was still pretty poisonous though. I’m not saying we’ll be in any way as steady a ship as what Newcastle seem but surely there must be a coach who can take over and do two simple things until Mitchell is appointed.
Coach whay he inherits better than Ten Hag and if he must choose players choose better ones than what Ten Hag did.
In a summer where Maddison, Rice, Ward Prowse, Kane, Diaby, Tielemans and Goncalo Ramos were available it’s so bizarre we ended up with the players we did.

No manager will fix this mess
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s not true.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s 100% true
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course it’s untrue as it suggests that there aren’t plenty of things a better manager can’t improve.
What is the mess? Players not being coached well. Poor choices of signings. Baffling tactical choices.
The glazers can be blamed for some of it but they really don’t have any influence on the training pitch and once we get a manager who can do the right things we’ll be amazed at how OTT we went when saying that it’s impossible to fix a mess.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No manager will fix it.
Some will try. And they will also fail. Just like the rest. And every manager that we hire will spend and buy diffrrent players and fail in the same way. And every cycle we go through will get shorter each time making the problems for the next guy even worse... until one day the supporters stop coming, the owners will stop spending, and the trap door will open and you stare relegation right in the eye.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s just needlessly negative thinking and factually incorrect. There’s zero evidence at all that states each manager change will make the situation worse.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lol
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A worse comeback than our one against Newcastle. Though the other day you said we should give Ten Hag 5 years no matter what. Now that really would potentially be a relegation battle given enough time you’d think.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok robb. Whatever. We need to see this period through. I would stick with him for now.
Problem with many United fans is that all they know is Fergies times and winning stuff. And now its gone tats up they are adamant that because we are the biggest club in the world (err we arent) we could never get relegated (lol) if the owners keep spending.

Rubbush. The right signings and coaching and we can compete. We spend enough money to do so. There are other issues, such as the stadium, that need addressing. But on the pitxh there is no reason we shouldn't be competing.

Well you did promise not to write an ETH out article so I suppose can give you a pass on this...
To answer your OP can I throw in Hansi Flick. Didn't do that well with Germany but would be available and may have some good contacts in his home country. Who knows could even bring Rangnick with him...

Someone on a mirror podcast suggested Frank the other day. Not the worst shout.
Howe or Emery are two coaches who would instantly improve but who would be mad to leave their current clubs.

No, so by coaching you meant coach new signings and not the current crop of sh!te? Or you hoping the current crop are flogged off at the nearest aldi to stack shelves

Reckon we’ll go for Tuchel in the summer when Bayern replace him with Xabi Alonso.

Flog the ones that you can't improve or don't fit your system and keep the rest. It's what teams do. Or are United the only team where this approach can't work?
