Deleted your comment Kash as saying the government is racist could lead to people whom voted for said government - with good intentions, also being faced with that label, which is not fair.
The Home Secretary, one of the highest positions in the land, is actively trying to stir up hatred between people.
It is really a travesty that she just seems to sink deeper into that cesspit and wanting to drag everyone else in.
She’s not fixed a single thing and proceeds to vilify different people each time.
Utterly shameless, utterly bereft of any good conscience, a complete lunatic of a Home Secretary.
The march is 45 mins walk away from the cenotaph, meaning anyone like me that will respectfully attend the commemoration at the Cenotaph can join the march in good time afterwards

Good post RITH but there's one bit I disagree with. You call this a march for armistice which seems deliberately provocative. This is very much a Pro-Palestine march and I think that's a very important distinction to make as it can't be an anti-war march if it's in support of one of the antagonists.
Quite honestly, how people can so happily pick sides in a disgraceful war where one side is bombing hospitals and the other side is beheading babies is beyond me.
I would back any protest or march that is genuinely anti-war and calling out both sides but how can you claim to be anti-war when you are actively supporting one side?
Oh and the home secretary is a disgrace who should be removed from her position immediately.

Depends on how you interpret the term "Pro-Palestine".
Judging from your comment, I don't think you understand how it is meant. You're making a simple and direct interpretation of the term, when there's more than meets the eye to it.
It's more about human rights for Palestinians and liberating them to be as free as you and me, which everyone accepts is inherent and undeniable to all human beings under any circumstances.

One thing that does often get overlooked in these discussions is why Israel was created in the first place. Note also that that land was Israel long before it was anything else.

I don't want to start this debate again. Your second paragraph is something you might want to research and look into.
What we can agree on quickly is that regardless of any of those circumstances, there is no justification for orchestrating apartheid, displacement of peoples, indefinite detention without trial, control over all aspects of life etc over other human beings for 75 years.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Out of interest what do you think freedom for Palestinians looks like?
One thing that does often get overlooked in these discussions is why Israel was created in the first place. Note also that that land was Israel long before it was anything else.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't want to start this debate again. Your second paragraph is something you might want to research and look into.
What we can agree on quickly is that regardless of any of those circumstances, there is no justification for orchestrating apartheid, displacement of peoples, indefinite detention without trial, control over all aspects of life etc over other human beings for 75 years.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok ignore the second paragraph if you disagree, I agree with your point as well that it doesn’t excuse anything that has happened in Palestine for 75 years. I don’t think there’s any argument there.
But answer the first question, I’m genuinely curious what you think freedom for Palestinians actually looks like.

Good post RITH but there's one bit I disagree with. You call this a march for armistice which seems deliberately provocative. This is very much a Pro-Palestine march and I think that's a very important distinction to make as it can't be an anti-war march if it's in support of one of the antagonists

There has been continuous habitation of the area for many thousands of years.
Jericho has continuous human history for 10,000 years - look it up.
The case that there was a land of no people is utter tosh.

That’s what it is, and it’s a demo against the government and shadow governments refusal to back such as it is currently decimating the lives of Palestinians.
