Take that !
What do pts make ?
Apparently John Jules put his goal away with a plum
Hopefully Stevenage Vs Posh finishes 2-2
And Oxford Vs Bolton 0-0
That'd be the perfect result for us. Great win, only frustration for me....not changing my result from 2-0 to a 1-0 win when I considered it.

When was that, after 90 mins ?
3 points away from home, very welcome!
Great result. Good performance all round. Inspired substitution!
When is a plum not a plum?

When I saw your 1-0 prediction actually Ang and thought do I change it???
Another tough one. I had thought NML and Wilson would have field days on Vale's huge pitch but apart from brilliantly creating the goal NML was quiet by his standards and Wilson only came to the fore in the second half when he did put in some dangerous crosses from very little space. Cashin and Nelson were excellent and the whole team is really based on those rocks. We have a great goalie behind them but he had nowt to do this time. The midfield did not especially impose themselves and maybe Fornah was the pick of the three. Collo led the line well with not much support but what a cameo from JJ. He looks so sharp and took his goal really well. Let's hope he can stay fit!
I'm sure we will have several more games like this when it becomes necessary to grind out a result.
I had an aberration at the full time whistle and ordered a half season ticket for the South West Upper stand. In addition to my quirky transgression I also purchased a ticket for the home game against Wycombe. Very tidy stuff by my own low standards. COYR!!

Brief highlights:

We deserved the win without ever being sparkling. A bit disjointed at times, first half very scrappy. The midfield tired badly as the game wore on - hopefully there will be a time when in such a situation we could bring on, say, Thompson and Smith.
Cashin was yet again outstanding - his opponent was a proper unit and Cash would not be outmuscled. Several important interceptions and clearances - his awareness of where the danger might be is superb. Nelson is far more unobtrusive but so reliable in everything he does. He rarely is beaten but also almost never concedes a foul which is a mark of a class defender.
Away from home keep it tight, get a goal, see it out, job done.
Yes vidal, their right sided forward was a big lad, good job he was hopeless.
If anyone hasn't seen it....

Firstborn is vomiting freely today after last night's dining experience at Vale Park. I'm made of sterner stuff and currently just have a troubling sensation in the abdominal area. I'll keep you all posted......
The post match updates we didn't know we needed.
It proves that when vegans talk about the benefits of a meat-free diet they don't know what they are talking about.
'I've gone for quantity over quality for the pre-match comestibles. Both burger AND sausage roll. Both were utterly disgraceful. 0/10.'
To be fair, you did predict it, in much the same way as the impact of J-J
Had a burger in the Bursley Ale House in Burslem market place. Egon Ronay it was not, but it wasn't bad and at £3.50 considerably cheaper than the horrendous offering at Peterborough, which was dreadful.
