Everyone knows what he’s good for, the goal yesterday wasn’t bad defending though, it was another terrible lapse in concentration. He’s had way too many of those this season for one of our supposed leaders and ‘winners’ in the squad

Apparently they say he wasn't happy with his performance after the final whistle, hopefully he'll sort that out

I was a big critic of zinchenko last season, but I have to say he's actually improved a lot. Tracks his runners better, wins more duels too. Tomiyasu threatening his position forced him to improve.

His issue now is his concentration levels dipping. He lapsed Vs Brentford last week, but in fairness he recovered well to block the shot.

He lapsed at least 3 times Vs Wolves on Saturday. Raya bailed him out the first time. I don't know if he just panics in certain situations or just doesn't know what to do.

I think defensively he's actually underrated but the errors or lapses in concentration are an issue. Just think of the Brentford game where he made the mistake in the first place but then defended pretty well to prevent a goal. He's going to get caught out positionally every now and then because of the job he's asked to do especially in transitions if we lose the ball because of a mistake by someone else.

He's not a great defender but he's a lot better than what many give him credit for. It is a problem though but Arteta is aware and if he has a fit Tomi and White for the tougher games then they will likely start at full back more often than not.

Tomi is not adept in midfield, so why would you play him instead of Zinny when we play Rice as the holding player?

If that's a question for me, I didn't say that I would. I just think it's what Arteta's preference is at the moment especially with the form that Tomi is in. Personally I don't mind who starts, both are good enough to start any game for us and there will be plenty of minutes to share, even more so with Timber out.
