Those stats are pointless and don't tell the full story they indivate that City and United create sinilar chabces and were just bad at finishing. I'd summize that the 320 shots that City created were much better chances than we created. We take a lot of crap pot luck shots because we don't build up with good football. A better striker is not the answer.

Last season we massively outshot Man City in the PL and missed more big chances than them. Same in the Fa Cup campaign.

Man City openplay XG is only 9 more than Man Utd since Ten Hag took the job and they scored 38 goals more in open play. They scored a few illegal goals while we had unfairly disallowed open play goals for virtually nothing so in a way we both should have similar open play XG in the PL.

This ain’t even temporary as we ended last season I believe averaging a goal every 2-3 XG.

Just to put 5.5% conversion rate into perspective we average a goal every 18.22 shots consistently. I remember saying we were clinical against Chelsea as we scored 2 goals from 28 shots and an XG of over 4. It seems we used our lethal finishing for that game.

Luton have as many PL goals as us which is telling how terrible we are in front of goal.

That's Hafi for you. He loves to cherry pick stats and delude himself into thinking that if only Man U had good finishers, they'd be sweeping titles. He posted an article like this last season and I remember going through much of their league stats and they finished higher than you'd expect them to with the stats they had. He posts manipulative stuff that portrays Man Utd as an "inefficient" team who are just very, very, very unlucky or always being let down by their finishing.

We attempted the most shots in the league last season with 804 and scored 58 and missed 71 big chances while Man City who won the league missed 70.

We had many perfectly good pens denied last season which cost us expected points.

What were the xg scores for todays game Hafi?

2 goals in 6 games is embarrassing this month, especially as the game we scored 2 we had an XG of over 4.

I genuinely now think Man Utd are screwed until we change our whole squad.

West Ham XG this season 26.85 and scored 31 goals. Man Utd XG this season 27.45 and scored 18 goals lol.

I actually think this will be the worst season since SAF left. No way you can win games consistently with such a conversion rate. The thing is the same happened in the CL, we missed absolute sitters that let teams like Galatasaray and Copenhagen in the match and they took advantage. If you take the sitters the game is done and dusted but our players keep missing making teams who play worse always in the game and able to get a result. Even the game at Anfield we had the 2 easiest chances and another one a better ball last minute and we win the game.

We should have been 10-0 up before we scored our first goal against Everton at OT. We missed 10 big chances as our players can’t just finish one on ones or clear chances from a few yards out against Everton.😂

That is why Ten Hag Ajax used to score so many goals and Man Utd created significantly more than any of his Ajax sides lol.

We literally had 10 chances wit just the keeper to beat from a few yards out and missed all of them. The scary thing is we miss like nearly all of our chances in nearly every game we play. That is why we only score in games we have an extremely high XG. I believe since Ten Hag took the job no side in England has had as many games with over 4XG as Man Utd.
