Look on the bright side. Think of the money saved not having to go to Wembley.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And me for not having to buy a round!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
At Covent Garden prices !
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not unreasonable. When last there I had a pint of London Pride, complimentary peanuts, and a cockney flower-girl, all for £109. I fondly recall her "Gawd love you sir, with your fine whiskers and odd accent, paying attention to a slip of a girl like me........etc. etc.

Now proud to call her Mrs Heb 🙂

Warne nominated for MoM for December .... I'd say in this case he's the favourite after 13/15 points.

Disappointing match to follow last night but at least that's the end of the defeats. We'll be winning every game from now to the end of the season.

A quick observation on Liam Rosenior, I think he's got the Midas touch when it comes to recruiting players. Liverpool's exciting prospect Fabio Carvalho has joined up with Hull City. If you have a look at who he's signed in the last 1.5 years whilst at Hull there's an impressive squad being built.

Jaden Philogene - top signing from Aston Villa, doing exceptionally well on the wing. Surprised Villa let him go given his impact.
Aaron Connolly - Has done reasonably well since joining from Brighton
Rory Delap (loan) - Slow start last season on loan at Stoke but improved this season under LR.
Tyler Morton (loan) - DM from Liverpool whose performances have not gone unnoticed in the Championship.
Ozan Tufan - top signing from Turkey, not sure if LR had a hand in this one given the ownership and transfer activity in Turkey prior to LR's arrival.

With Ryan Woods and the Championship's prolific veteran marksman Billy Sharp joining recently that adds some very strong experience to their squad. Also gives me an idea of how LR would have liked to build his squad with Derby had he remained. (minus one B Sharp who would NEVER come to us.)

We most definitely need someone within our coaching / recruiting team who can bring in players better than this division. LR has proven it over two seasons he's got that quality with what he was capable of signing at L1 level. PW's signings overall have lacked that 'je ne sais quoi.' (so far)

Possibly the league position of the club's and the available budget has something to do with these things, as well as the supposed "pulling power" of whoever happens to be the manager.

Clearly a bigger budget allows you to recruit better quality.

The nod to Liam was whilst in L1 he managed to bring in ( on paper ) quality players who could easily have played at a higher level and for more money.

He seems to have done that again, with more funds at his disposal this time, but unfancied Hull who have been in the lower half have managed to bring in some very decent players. It's not a coincidence that Liam is associated with that.

Agreement almost reached with with Arsenal for John Jules till the end of the season, and possible signing permanently at the end of his contract.

Well that’s good news. If he stays fit, and that might be a big if, I think we could have a bit of a steal there.

Phil Warne is manager of the month, so we probably won't win again all season.

'Derby's initial offer for summer target Corey Blackett-Taylor was declined with a new bid submitted.'

Ex Aston Villa Academy player who apparently wants to be closer to the Midlands region. Puts us in a strong position if what social media are posting this afternoon is correct.

He’s also currently got a leg injury and wasn’t in the squad vs Posh. Hopefully that gets us a discount …
