Agree, Lowfields, we don't have that mentality for the one-off game. Today also showed how limited we are when we rest two or three first team players. We have to act in this transfer window if we want to get promotion, and we have to target the top two places. A team like Coventry would kill us in the play-offs.

dont agree, we have so much young talent

Thank God it was a cup game, and not the league...Missed James, surprised that Klaesson was not given a chance.

Well at least I'll probably get to see the replay. Leeds haven't been on here yet.
Was able to see all the games today except ours. Guess I'll watch the Fulham game now.

So where was the main area of concern that made us a shadow of our first half performance???
I sang the praises of Gruev and Ampadu at h.t. but listening to Radio Leeds Plymouth seemed to dominate our midfield 2nd half.

I think Ampadu and Gruev are too similar and Kamara offers more going forward. I like them both but we looked much better last game.

If we're in the playoffs, forget promotion, mark my words.

Watdahell is wrong with Gnonto - he's a shadow of his last season self !

Me too and this was why when Gruev was first introduced to the side he played alongside Ampadu and looked distinctly average and ineffective and drew a fair amount of criticism until he was paired with Kamara where he has looked decent and a totally different
player.

This is where I think Farke has a blind spot and you would of hoped he would have recognised Gruev's improvement as a result of playing alongside Kamara and yes I know we dominated the first half and should have scored more but we didn't and faded badly in the second half where the midfield was easily matched if not bettered by Plymouth.

The same with Rutter and Piroe which I don't think works but still Farke persists with it so quite disappointing to say the least today but if we iron out these issues get James, Gray, Summerville Bamford back starting and beat Bristol City next Friday then as far as I'm concerned the FA Cup is not a priority and if we're drawn away for example at Brighton or Fulham or even Man City I'd not be bothered if Plymouth beat us in the replay.
If we're drawn at home to Man U or Chelsea though then yes definitely go all out and try and win down in Devon.

Problem for Gnonto is he has to play RW which he isn't. He is nothing like Dan James, so why try and make him play a Dan James role. He needs to either play Lw or as a number 10.

Yes but still Farke plays him there which is just puzzling and beggers belief when the last good game Gnonto had for Leeds was against Cardiff in the cup replay 12 months ago playing on the left.

Onwards and upwards.

What’s the bet Dong miraculously tonight or tomorrow?

Lots of whinging on social media about a replay. We won't be moaning if the draw tomorrow gives us a favourable home tie for the winner v Plymouth.

posted on 27/1/24

Yeah could get maidstone next round then you have a good chance for a quater final place.

Classic over reaction on here I see.

I'd play a lot of the reserves v Norwich. Joffy was warming up for ages but he never brought him on

posted on 27/1/24

I actually didn't fancy us today after our midweek exertions and thought we'd bow out tbh so a draw keeps our home record intact and yes if we get a glamour home tie the replay suddenly doesn't seem too bad and having had time to reflect they're not exactly going to be thumbing a lift down to Plymouth, they will travel in luxury and a game in 10 days midweek under the floodlights with a great away following should make it quite an exciting affair plus if we didn't have this game the players would and could just as easily get injured during training so that's me trying my best to put a positive spin on things.

Yeah, the draw tomorrow will kinda dictate the importance of a replay. Man C or Liverpool away then throw 11 changes for Plymouth replay. Could get another championship side at home, possibly even Maidstone or Newport 😏

Sorry meant the Plymouth reply. Where did i get Norwich from. The alcohol effect 😂

Depending on results today and tomorrow night I there's a very good chance the cup replay is shown live on tv.
Either way I'm hoping by then or even this Friday a couple of new faces are in our squad as I'm reading this morning the Manuel Benson deal from Burnley has been verbally agreed and a 20 year old Polish U21 versatile right back and playmaker, Musialowski from Liverpool is strongly linked with us.

posted on 28/1/24

Daiki Hashioka a 24 year old Japanese International right back looks to be on his way to us.

Yes Outwood I've just seen that. I should have known better to believe the click bait bs on newsnow but it was on Facebook aswell and seemed legit which it looks not to be the case. Maybe the earlier rumour I posted about the Polish Liverpool 20 year old who can play rb and midfield will turn out to be true????

Villa or Chelsea away if we beat Plymouth so for me I'd play 11 reserves/ not usual first team starters against Plymouth and bow out quietly instead of getting smashed in round 5 but I'm sure a lot of Leeds fans will disagree and expect us to win the cup.
