I remember Gary Speed could play LB but obviously his forward play was superior but failing that I also remember Byron Stevenson was a defender and I'm sure he could do a job at LB.

I remember Carl Harris being one of my favourite Leeds players ever.
John Charles was probably the greatest Leeds player ever, obviously the Revie lads won things but he stood out as an individual.

Just looked on a website that lists the top Welsh players to represent Leeds United and a teammate of John Charles called Harold Williams played for us in the early 50's and by all accounts was a very pacy winger, not sure which wing but he set up quite a few goals for John
Charles.

Going even further back to 1935 a player called Aubrey Powell is listed as one of the top 11 Welsh players to wear the LUFC shirt. He played for us until 1948 obviously 6 years were lost to WW2 but although he only clocked up 112 appearances that was due to him also missing a season or two like Stuart Dallas with a serious leg break..

Not Yorath too? What a player he was in his day.

Struggling to really think of a Welsh player for us that I’ve never liked. They all seem to put in a shift. Tyler maybe the odd one out but his ability is not in question. I still quite liked him though.

Massive fan of Yorath too. And Flynn. Got to see them play regular as a kid. Raised half Welsh with a love of
Welsh national teams and players. Charles was my
Dad's football hero.

I remember Mickey Thomas, I know ex Man U, but even though it was only one season with us I think he played an important part a sort of super sub type role for us under Wilkinson and our promotion in 1990 and I remember seeing him make his Elland Road debut in our opening home game of that 88/90 season following our crushing defeat away at Newcastle and thought even though he was getting on a bit he was still very skillful and contributed well in that game which was crucial we won to get our campaign back on track and still remember with great fondness that last minute winning
goal against Middlesbrough which was an own goal rolling into the south stand goal which I was behind and sent everyone into euphoric celebration.
