Tbf Liverpool have always been our whipping boys in the league.
They’d occasionally sneak a result against us in a Cup but in league play we’ve had them on toast since the days when Robbie Fowler was on the crawl.
Today was no different.

lol wut?
Don’t you remember the long unbeaten run we had vs them for so long?
Podolski silencing the kop 🤫
The longest unbeaten run we had was 8 - and we drew 6 of those
But before and at the start of his reign we were 1 win in 14 up to the start of last season. And Arteta got that win.
We lost 9 of those, including 5-1 and 4-0 and a couple of 3-1s.
Discipline is the biggest improvement from this. I’m glad Arteta addressed this, because even under Wenger the team suffered, be it from losing team structure or red cards.
Despite a young squad, it shows serious levels of maturity.
Yeah that has been a big improvement, I was getting PTSD from when we conceded by chucking the ball in our own net, in previous years in big games we totally collapse after that. But we’re much better at keeping composure after errors. Similar with the yellow cards we got, before in a these game it was always inevitable someone was getting sent off
