City incredibly lucky.

Agreed. If I could sum up that second half performance from City, in one word, it would be cowardly. They were terrified.

It's about time we had a bit of luck at Anfield and a referee who wasn't afraid to make dificult decisions.

Certainly got away with that one
Liverpool will regret dropping 2 points come the end of the season I think

City were the masters of their own downfall today. They won’t have a better chance to win at Anfield than they had this afternoon. If City put a team out like that against a near full strength Liverpool side, they’d get murdered.

I try not to get too emotionally invested these days but I am genuinely angry with what I witnessed today. How they got out of there with a point is a mystery.

Alvarez was a passenger today. The worst of a bad bunch.

Said before the game I was delighted to see him starting instead of Doku.

He was my one question mark when I saw the line up. He has been a good signing but hasn’t been at it lately.

Oh well. Onwards to Newcastle at home.

Alvarez has been off the pace since that glaring miss against Newcastle.

He's still a young lad, he'll come good again.

Can't be this one, it was three years ago.

Another typically underwhelming and disappointing Anfield performance from us. Alvarez was shocking, couldn't pick a pass, poor decision making to shoot, and missed a few runs tracking back. Was crying out for Kovacic to replace him, and we were pretty poor on the ball until he came on. KDB was also pizz poor on the ball, and Walker. Never a better chance to beat them there, and too many had shockers. So lucky to come away with a point.

We were utter bobbins.

Alvarez wasteful and got Rodri booked (is he now suspended for the Arsenal game?).
Walker was all over the place but where he was supposed to be.
Ake's brain fart.....

Still, Liverpool could have really punished us if not for Diaz. We were extremely lucky to come back with a point.

May I make a point about their "legendary" atmosphere? I agree with some commentators that it's a myth. Other than the pre kick-off karaoke, and the 10s of minutes of boos that ring out when they couldn't get the ball off us: what real atmosphere was there?

Haven't seen city bullied off the ball so much.
Liverpool the better team both halves. Unlucky not to win by at least three goals.
