That's true.

2090 is the next one. Will City have been promoted from the NW counties league by then? 😂
---------------------------------------------------------
Will United have finished above City for the first time since Fergie retired?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

We already did. You cheated in the Jose 2nd place year.

We're on 22 titles now. 👍

was it you that wrote the "Lancaster bomber found on moon" headline?

If you want to write a song about the moon
Walk along the craters of the afternoon
When the shadows are deep and the light is alien
And gravity leaps like a knife off the pavement

You should consider moving from Longsight.

Having watched the eclipse again, the moon does block the sun but the sun definitely played for it. No eclipse for me.

Just in from totality. I am impressed. only lasted in full for a minute and half, but wow. Eerie silence where birdsong is everywhere usually. Still quiet.

Just a shame the world doesn’t end at that moment. It would be very fitting 👍

Exactly what happened in 1999. Birds just stopped singing.

What was it like for you? Sky darken at all?

Quite jealous I can't lie. I remember going out into the playground in 1999 to try see it but can't remember if we got a good view of it or not.

Quite an amazing phenomenon, hope I get the chance to see another one, seems unlikely.

I went to Cornwall in '99 to see the eclipse
was spooky for sure when it went pitch black & the birds shut the fack up for a while, but it was cloudy so you couldn't actually see the sun become blocked out by the moon and the halo etc

I'll be booking up for the one that goes across spain in 2026, for sure... Should be a very high chance of blue skies in August. It also goes through Iceland, which would be amazing, but bigger concerns about weather.

I’ve made 3 attempts to go to Porto over the years which have all been thwarted by either dust clouds, Covid or industrial action

I’ve pencilled in 12/08/26 as my last attempt 😹
