Goldi, can you put the new match thread up early?

Nah, I'm enjoying watching these lot actually agreeing with each other but pretending not to because to do so might be perceived as a sign of weakness.

Interested to read that Wolves have so far used 26 players this season. Despite our small squad that’s more players used than 5 other Premier League clubs including Man City and Arsenal.
The problem of course is that the difference in standard between our first choice players and their replacements is far bigger than most, maybe all other clubs, thanks to our fire sale last summer and our loaning out of fringe players.
The depth of quality in our squad is really shallow
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nunes would be in those 26 of course, as will Jonny probably along with some youngens.
Also includes Fabio and Sasa. Given how things have worked out with injuries to forwards, wonder if GON sanctioned the loans out of those two, or whether he only did so on the promise of someone coming in. Easy to say with hindsight but we couldn’t afford to lose them for the second half of the season, but then with Sasa’s injury that became a mute point anyway
I suspect GON did expect an arrival and it sounds like we were trying either Che Adams or Broja. Somehow one of those was too expensive, GON even said we couldn't afford the small fee for a prem proven player but never gave a name.
Che Adams is out of contract in the summer so would be on a free. Not really my choice but may well be a target again

We’re running out of steam aren’t we?
The disappointing cup exit has really knocked the stuffing out of some of our players. No team has fewer points in the league from their last four matches than us.
Big test now for GON to motivate the squad for an end of season finale. Another nine points should be the target imo.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Edit
We’re running out of steam aren’t we, due to having so many first team players out injured and a small squad?
The players seem to have put the Coventry result behind them and the subsequent return of two points in twelve is evidence of that
Should be a simple task for GON to motivate the players for the run in, he just needs to keep telling them they are running on empty and on their last legs. 👍
Man City very keen on Ait-Nouri with a valuation around 60 mill and a player as well. Gomez or something, a WB
Don’t know why you don’t form an Ait Nouri forum cinci.
You clearly have had no interest in any other Wolves player for over 3 years now

Printed 10,000 posters yesterday to get the ball rolling on his fan club. 10$ a pop.
Hearing rumours of a two point deduction for Sheffield United.
EFL points deduction apparently for sheff u, will start next season on -2.
Everton getting battered at Chelsea. Just looking at the upcoming fixtures, Luton play Everton on 3rd May, looking a big one that.
Everton don’t score. If their defensive record gets worse they could be stuffed
Luton have some very winnable games from now till the end of the season. Everton play Forest next. Loser of that one could be in trouble.
Don't understand what is going on at Everton right now as they were more than capable early season and without deductions are only 8 points behind us.
Makes you wonder if they are looking for relegation.
Certainly doesn’t look like good timing to be building a new stadium
Here is a theory thrown out on MM early, no idea how logical this is
My guess is MSP forces 777 out, keeps the stadium, lets the club go into administration to wipe out their debts and accepts relegation as a consequence. A new owner then steps into pick up the pieces in the Champ with any players of value sold, but a club largely debt free and still in Goodison. After a year or three, a revamped Everton get promoted and lease the new stadium from MSP and sell Goodison
Sounds like an American conspiracy theory. There’s surely a cheaper and simpler way to a better life
