A team that is well ahead of its rivals would clinch the title long before the last couple games

The unthinkable could still happen you know….would love to see how well ahead you think your team are if it did

You’ve lost at Rugby Park twice this season already

Nothing delusional about the prospect of that happening again and the title race going down to the last day, it’s very much a possibility

You’d be overwhelming favourites still of course, but I reckon you’ll be a shed load loss cocky than you are the night if that came to pass

Enjoy yer night

Not being cocky mate just realistic dropping points at rugby park is possible as I said this hoops team aren't brilliant but the job was done today were not losing 2 on the bounce the question is can Rangers win 2 on the bounce ??

We could have equalised in the latter stages today, we were well on top even with 10 men…..and if we had done, you’d have been facing a must win game at a ground you’ve already lost at twice this season

Only thing buried is yer heid up yer ain erse thinking your a helluva lot better than you really are
----------------------------------------------------------------------
5-1 would not have flattered celtic today mate yes we were nervy because the 3rd goal never came but if your being honest Celtic were miles ahead today Rangers simply hit long balls and hoped fir the best the only football played was by the hoops
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We had 10 men for more than half the game, in an away old firm with no fans……what you expecting?

Silva missed two sitters in the first half, your finishing was atrocious, you also missed a penalty, we’re hanging on against 10 men in the end and ultimately needed a pi$$ poor OG to win you the game

That’s the story of this game
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As I said 5-1 would not have flattered celtic only poor finishing prevented that silva had a great chance with a header but decided to fall to the floor instead lol Rangers played no football at all simply lumped long balls thats the story of the game mate
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Considering you play a very high line and a high press, I honestly don’t give two fcks about how good you think the long ball tactic is, against the system you play, the long ball is often the smart thing to do, and we got some joy with it until Lundstram sold the jerseys

Once down to 10, the bus was always gonna get parked, and I suppose you’ll say that’s $hite fitba tae, I honestly don’t care, it was the best tactic to employ to try and get something out of this game, and considering how shaky you were late on, we were presented with some chances to do that but didn’t take them
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Which chances would those be ?? You had 1 shot on target the whole match I really don't remember any real chances for Rangers 2nd half can you ???
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Just because we didn’t force Hart into any major saves, it doesn’t mean we didn’t have any chances……there were points in that second half where we failed to make a simple pass that would’ve put us clean through on goal, and there were also points where the choice to shoot instead of taking extra or heavy touches in the box could’ve been made…..but as said, we didn’t make the most of what was presented to us

Lol no offence but name me one chance you had to equalise?

Sorry to say celtic had thier most dominant performance under rodgers

22 shots, 70 percent possession and highest xg.

All brendan has missed is a decent striker to kill teams off.

....against 10 men for more than half the game

If a team is getting truly and utterly horsed, the final whistle would come as a relief to them

Wasn't us that was relieved to hear the final whistle in the end, was you because the game was nowhere near.put to bed when it should have been

So you just keep focusing on how bad we were.....a better team would have punished you for being so careless with possession in the latter stages of the game yesterday

He is the sort of striker brendan likes and would do well under his system.

Love kyogo but he struggles under rodgers tactics despite having a great scoring record against rangers

I don’t think any of us think this Celtic team are great, or even good, Stevie. That doesn’t change the fact that our biggest rivals are honking of pash. When it really mattered, Celtic turned up, Rangers didn’t. In CCV, our midfield 3, and Kyogo we have a spine that’s a better quality than anything at Rangers, although we’ve plenty weaknesses elsewhere.

Totally agree mate....but the point being made on this thread by many is that we are miles behind and have been totally buried by this Celtic team this season.

Our honking pash team have made a season that was looking like being a cake walk for Celtic as far back as October, into a title race that at best, won't be decided until the penultimate round of fixtures.

In my opinion, its our honking pash team that have lost this league...Celtic haven't won it, and I say that precisely for the reasons you've said, we haven't turned up in the old firm games, have absolutely gifted goals, and have went down to 10 men due to stupid mistakes twice....a lot of that has nothing to do with the quality in the Celtic team, its purely down to us being so poor in crucial games.

Nonsense. Celtic have saleable assets who are good players. They have a style of play that can be easily identified.

The league isn't close because Rangers are nearly as good as Celtic. It's close because Rangers are better than the rest.

You have no saleable assets apart, maybe, from your goalie and I have no idea what they do from Monday to Fridat because there is no evidence of any pattern of play apart from hoofball.

So we’re kinda in agreement, Stevie. Celtic ain’t great, Rangers are worse. We have a bit more quality and/or mentality for the crunch games … your lot were more efficient (under Phil anyway) against the dross, altho even that evaporated once you hit the top and couldn’t handle the expectation against County and Dundee. I know which base I’d rather be trying to build from next season.

You are forgetting that Brendan inherited Ange's team, a very good manager who instills a very distinct style of play in his side....when your team has been playing at its best this season, they've been playing more like they did under Ange.....Brendan has often been slaughtered for trying to get these players playing a different style, and it's often said you are not getting the best out of Kyogo due to your current managers influence....so don't start giving Brendan credit for stuff that Ange is still hugely responsible for

Clement inherited a poor group of players, and is doing the best he can with him....the one player he's been able to sign has certainly made a difference in our midfield, as for the two loans, one has been hit and miss and won't be back here next season, the other was adding some much needed creativity and got a goal and an assist in the mere six games he was involved in before he got injured and hasnt kicked a baw since

I'll judge Clement when he's actually put his own stamp on this side...he really hasn't done that yet no matter how much you want to try and say he has

Well on top is perhaps a bit strong, but it was a bit panic stations at the back for you late on...you were ahead and dominated from the end of the first half onwards, you should never have been in a situation where it was a relief to hear the final whistle

Nah, that’s not how it works, according to Stevie anyway. Celtic dropping a shed load of daft points after being miles ahead wasn’t us potentially handing the league to Rangers … that logic only applies once Rangers got on top then fooked it.

As just mentioned on another thread, if you pick up one more point, this season will be Brendan's second highest points tally in a season as Celtic manager (after the 106 point invincible season when there was basically no competition whatsoever).....and you will have to win your next 2 games to equal the lowest points tally you won the league under Ange with

So this is one of Brendan's best seasons as Celtic manager...and you've required an unbeaten record in the old firms and for us to suffer a huge collapse to ensure the league was won

It would appear that the longer Brendan is in charge, and the more he puts his stamp on things and the Ange era is confined to history.....dropping as many points as you have this season will be more like standard practice
