Its absolute nonsense to blame it, and would be a step backwards and in the wrong direction abandoning it in its formative years. Even if its harming the game it highlights problems and the poor levels of officiating and poor wording and interpretation of the lws of the game. Which should in theory push for improvement rather than accepting costly errors as part of the game without technology assistance.

Theres numerous things they could do to help which is done in other sports where refs earn the respect they get even if people disagree with them. Could implement a vote form var on subjective calls 3 people vote and go with that. But first make sure the people on VAR have no connection to the people officiating that would be the biggest improvement.

None of this do ur mates a favour stuff if a decisions is subjective the ref needs another look doesnt have to jog off to the side of the pitch eithe. Play it on big screens and mic the ref up like they do in rugby. Nothing to hide or be ashamed of make ur call air it and people will respect it even if they disagree so long as u give your reasoning after having another look at it even if they disagree and discuss it its far better than the mess they do now which no one person respects them for.

Football is a simple game. Keep it that way.

I never liked VAR. Didn't like ha keye in cricket either.

Only tennis it works for and then again just for the serve. The whole hole ball was in by a mm is nonsense.

Things like VAR should be used after games to show the officials where they feck d up and then having "punishments" for obvious errors.

Hope it passes, but it won't. Needs 14 clubs to vote in favour and I can't see that happening. The top 6 won't for a start.

In 2018 or whichever year it was before VAR was introduced, most people were convinced that VAR would destroy Liverpool.

They won the league i think the following season.

So I am all for scrapping it.

authority of the ref has been destroyed, we basically have two now instead of another kind of assistant as advertised

I agree, it has to stay but needs reform, there should be an appeal system instead, you get two per game that must be claimed within 20 seconds of the event by the Captain - if you use a claim & you are wrong you lose it. If you wrongly use both & there is a bad mistake it’s tough sh&t…

Handball rule needs simplified, ball hits you on any part of your hand/arm from fingertip to elbow regardless of intent or body shape, handball. Hits any other part of arm, its a shoulder, play on.

refs have shirked responsibilty since the introduction of VAR.

Time to scrap it. It was supposed to take away controversy but somehow it seems even more controversial than before VAR. I’m sure we can all live with close offside decisions being given against us in a non VAR world.

All we can say for certain, whatever they decide it will cost Liverpool 12 points next season

It's far from perfect but that's more because the referee's themselves struggle, it's much much better than before VAR though.

Really hope they don't go back as so many poor decisions were made pre VAR, I doubt United would've won a single title during the Fergie era if VAR was around.

VAR has screwed Man Utd over so much Boris. Newcastle took our player out twice last season at OT and VAR said no both times lol.

Bit of Karma as we would have won that game if VAR worked and drawn most likely today if VAR worked.

We would have won against Chelsea, Burnley and Liverpool recently if it wasn’t for corrupt officials. Even the Spurs home and away games we were denied clear penalties in the first half of both games.

Clear pen denied away to Arsenal to take the lead.

To be honest by my calculations we have been denied way over 100 clear factual penalties since VAR was introduced and they never gave it. I think it is now actually close to 150.

I think since VAR being introduced Man Utd have been completely destroyed by wrong decisions by VAR. There has been at least over 500 wrong calls against Man Utd in total. I actually think referees are actually instructed to cheat Man Utd now. That is how blatant it is.

My new form of entertainment is to see how VAR crews Man Utd over each game now.

Screws* Man Utd must surely be the worst treated by VAR since its inception. It is impossible for any other team to have gotten worse treatment. I honestly think I could do a video and get millions of views if I showed 10% of the wrong decisions against Man Utd since VAR came in. Anyway rant over.

It's not that VAR has denied you any penalties, it's just that you would've have had over 150 dodgy penalty decisions go your way if VAR wasn't around. I understand the confusion, it must be weird for United fans used to getting all those decisions back in the glory days.

all VAR has done is take decisions from an incompetent idiot on the pitch and given them to an incompetent idiot watching on a monitor.
Until they sort out the standard of officiating all VAR will do is destroy the joy of watching a game because we have to wait 3 minutes to find out if a goal actually counts or not.
If VAR was as accurate as we were told it would be, why do PGMOL have to keep giving out apologies?
