Aye, I could be back to watching the Scottish Open golf far quicker than I thought. Anisimova hasn’t turned up so far. Brutal first serve stats, and moving like she’s running through quicksand. Hopefully can start playing at some point, because this is laughably poor at the moment for a Slam final.

Brutal… I don’t know why John didn’t state that this was a possibility. We all saw how tight she got against Sabalenka, and is known to get nervous

I agree. I don't watch much women's tennis but I'm guessing her and Swiatek are the 2 best female tennis players around in the last few years?

Can't get to a Wimbledon final and completely fail like this.

I think it’s more embarrassing if a man loses in straight sets to love. Cos the women’s game is so short it can run away from you just like that

Women's tennis has been crap for years. You don't get enough consistency in the best players and therefore no rivalries form. Contrast to the men's with Alcaraz and Sinner now replacing Djok, Fed and Nadal quite seamlessly.

Yeh, the French lucked out with those two finals….

Biggest farce in the history of any sport is the fact the women get paid the same as the men in tennis. Truly absurd.
