Nah, don’t think I’d bother going.

Will definitely be going to at least one of the Manchester nights but will probably go more than once in all likelihood....should the rumours get confirmed of course.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is all Liam having fun again though.

One of the worst gigs I ever saw about 25 years ago. Filled with fat white blokes coked up wearing stone island p-ssing and sh-tting in plastic cups and throwing them in the air.

Have a soft spot for Definitely Maybe being a teenager at the time but they’re an incredibly dull band in general.

Are you excited?

No. A really boring band. Live Forever is a banger though.

BTW Robb, I commented on the AFL on the 6-month-old Australian thread.

One of the best Beatles tribute bands ever to come out of Manchester.

I never could work out why they kept releasing the exact same album time after time though. It was decent enough the first time, but it got boring pretty quickly after that.

No interest in going to see them, but slightly interested to know what the band line-up will be.

Noel didn't get on with Tony McCarroll, so presumably he won't be involved. But they sacked Alan White, so I guess it would be Chris Sharrock behind the kit again?

Bonehead wasn't well a few years back. Think he made a full recovery, but would he want to be involved again, even for crazy money?

Andy Bell is back with Ride now, and they're doing well, so I doubt he'd be interested...

I can see this being Liam and Noel, with a bunch of session guys tbh.

The worst things about this is that people will just come up with awful band reunion related puns. Whatever floats their boat though I suppose.

Yeah, I guess younger fans will be happy, as they’ll have wanted to see them live forever.

Saw them at Maine Road and Knebworth back in the day and was a huge fan up to Be Here Now. Been on a bit of a nostalgia trip this year seeing a few of the nineties bands I grew up with again, but one I’ve got no interest at all in seeing again is Oasis. I’d be slightly tempted if they just played their B sides….

Was about to say that I saw them shortly before they split in Cardiff and whilst the gig itself was good, it's the worst crowd I'd ever been in. It's basically just a bunch of football hooligans off their faces as you say.

Saw a young-ish lad with his Dad - who was a bit drunk but in a funny if slightly annoying way - get set on by two thugs and the poor lad trying to defend his Dad from these yobs had his eyebrow half bitten off before the two twaaats disappeared back into the crowd and the Dad and son got taken out. And that was during the opener!

Yeah I’d go see them. I actually saw them in what I believe was their last gig, at V Festival, they broke up the day after

Will it be global? I’m already planning my flights back to England but if they’re going to come to Australia too then I’ll have to plan for that as well!

Noel has lamented that the crowd turned from happily go lucky mates and girls, to football hooligans looking for a scrap. That also doesn’t happen at Liam and Noel gigs now. I think it will be a lot more communal and a celebration.
There are a lot of parallels with when they did Knebworth. England had just come out of years of misery and Tory rule. The football team were doing well. People came together to be part of something as one, to forget how rubbish life had been. I think this will be the same.

Presumably those who will buy tickets will be doing so in order to appear uncultured.

Be interested to see when Noel said that. I saw them all the way through including at Knebworth and the crowd really didn’t change that much at all.. Nowadays it’s slightly different with them both playing to the Radio 2 crowd but an Oasis reunion would get everyone back to their roots.

Same as when Stone Roses did it at Heaton Park.

Coke and divorce ain’t cheap, it was only a matter of time before these two had no choice but to bore us all again.

Them and kings of Leon should never allowed to annoy anybody’s ears ever again.

Well, SOMETHING will be announced.

I'd laugh if the announcement was that they're not reforming and that it's just an album reissue or something!
