Mount is already the best, most contributory, midfield option at the club

Has he been helping out around the treatment rooms or something?

I think both Sterling and Sancho will need to take a massive wage cut for this transfer swap to happen.

As an aside, I'm not sure whether Sterling's form has dropped off a cliff, or if it's more a case of going from a side which executes loads of perfectly choreographed collective attacking moves per match to a club in total disarray. He moved from football's most efficient chance creating machine to Boehly's Chelsea. Of course he's not going to be as productive.

The issue, of course, is that United's attacking strategies are more Chelsea than City.

Sterling’s movement is vastly superior to anyone we have in the squad. We’ve got issues with creativity, but the movement of our forwards is waaaank as well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is very true.

I don't want Sterling on the whole, but I've always rated him and there'd be some positives:

- He's better than Sancho, for the reasons described above
- I don't think Chelsea are in a position to ask for any fee.
- We're apparently looking to do that thing that other teams normally do to us, where Chelsea pay a chunk of his wages.

Considering the above I don't think I'd be that cut up about it tbh.

Being reported by BBC as well now, although it does say any deal is on United's terms.

If we could work out a favourable loan deal it would be decent business. Gives us more quality in attack but without having to commit to a permanent deal, and we can then revisit the attack next summer.

Its clear we hold all the cards in this relationship. Their manager was obviously not smart with his comments. What we need to figure out is how we arrange it.

Definitely an exaggeration but whenever mount plays for you guys you look better

His pressing from the front , which he is very intelligent in doing , is great

Yeah he doesnt get on the pitch enough but he definitely makes you a better team

Goals and assists will come if he can stay fit

Don't disagree. My biggest problem with him is his fitness

I tell you who united need right now…

He is in the French league tearing it up. But for stupid politics he should be here.

Greenwood heading straight to Madrid or Barcelona in a few years bookmark this.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why weren't Real or Barca in for him this summer?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A doofus question

Listen, you peasants might not thank me but get the contract out, put it on the table, let Sterling sign it and let him write whatever number he wants to put on there given what he's done with his career and let him sign the contract and go, INEOS's at the wheel, they are doing it, doing their thing, Man United are BACK!

Never mind Ivan Toney.

They just bought another keeper for 17m.

Yeah me neither.

IMO Ivan Toney is overated, the pens pad his stats a bit.

Tbf, Penders is staying at Genk for the season - it's one of those, hopefully he turns out great, but if not, we won't lose much on him (£17 million for a big club prob isn't deemed that much these days). It's the type of thing most clubs are doing, altho Chelsea do take it to the next level.

Rumours online now that we are in for Toney. No idea if they are credible.

Great. It worked out so well the last time Rio was smug about a transfer.
