The Hundred is the premier competition in this country now whether we like it not, in terms of it's scheduling and marketing anyway.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I can't get any vested interest for this.... I don't watch county cricket either
----------------------------------------------------------------------
County cricket has about 25,000 fans across the country but the ECB aren'. I love it, so easy to follow it now with all the games on YouTube
The ECB aren't really fussed because county championship form isn't really what gets you into the international sides now*
I’m not sure about Salt opening for the ODI side. I think he’s more Buttler than Bairstow and should probably bat lower down the order.
Plus with Duckett in there I reckon we could bring Crawley in to get them opening like they do in the Test side. Would arguably suit them better than Test cricket given how they play.
Unbelievable such soft dismissals
How bad have we been after such a great start. Really poor and this score should is so much lower than it could have been
Also why has the bar on the bottom on the screen on sky not changed except the score.
You have to think the Aussies can comfortably knock this total off without having to take any risks.

Given we were 200 odd for 2 after 30 overs, it's not the best of finishes. However given the impact spin had and the fact we've got plenty of spin options, hopefully our lads can have a similar impact. I mean Head and Labuschagne got 5 wickets between them!
Can only see the Australians chasing this down basically tonight
We needed to get Travis head out early... again we haven't
Archer has gone round the park. Should just keep the spinners on.
Travis Head is probably the best batsman across all formats right now. Unreal player.

Yeah he's the best across all 3 formats atm.
Had a great 50-over WC, good T20 WC, great IPL, great in Major League Cricket, and been solid in Tests.
Probably does need to get better at Tests though to be considered an all-time great.
Head and Labuschagne brutalising them.
As they say, “back to the drawing board”.
Anyone playing Aus atm in any format has to get Travis Head out early.
He's just in that zone atm that great players go through every now and again where things just go for them - dropped catches, play and miss etc.
When Windies beat Aus at the Gabba earlier this year, they got Head out for a King Pair.
Yep...spot on... despite their average bowling attack Head makes up for it in spades...plus Labuschane is too good for us
Brutal finish. They won with six overs to bloody spare.

We've got a strange period now where we are waiting for McCullum to come in so this is a bit of a strange time for the side as it's not like with the football team where the interim might potentially take over.
There was a good point brought up about Brook where he said the players don't care that they get out in the way they do. Obviously it's about creating an atmosphere where players don't fear failure as with the test team and as with Morgan's white ball team. However to say you don't care just isn't giving off the right message.
Things looking a little better today though so hopefully e can level the series.
Carey’s saved the Aussies from a bit of a humiliation this innings.
