It was like a last roll of the dice and it backfired. Wouldn't have won us the game if they were both fit anyway. Problems are bigger than unavailable players despite what some Spurs fans would have you believe.

it’s probably happened already but at some point the players are simply gonna say I want to win more than I believe in this system. at 2-0 up the game is won, professional team see it out…. Not spurs… we throw it it away time and again so that we have to win the game twice in 90 mins…. It doesn’t work at this level…. Neither does Ange…. He’s out of his depth and I fear he and his system are killing these players

I think the gamble to play Mickey and Romero as said above was a last desperate attempt. Mickey wasn't in contention them suddenly starting in a really stretched open game. The players are constantly at full tilt and it feels inevitable when they break down.

Lost Johnson as well, our top scorer. Lots of similarities to last seasons throw away against Chelsea. It's the lasting damage to go along with th expected defeat which makes it hard to take.
