Disagree about Spence. Albeit out of position thought he was awful. Shat himself every time he got the ball 1H and had no strategy what he was gonna do with it when he inevitably received it. A few times he managed a hospital pass back to Gray who at least knew what his options were. Binned the 2H so he might have got better.

Opinions. But I thought he did well.

I really don’t understand why Ange fans constantly bring out the ‘lose by one goal’ thing. It doesn’t mean anything. We’ve been dominated on most of those losses.

Nice post Sandy, I was also thinking what our midfield will look like in the not too distant future when our centre backs are back and Bergvall and Gray in the middle with one other could be the answer.

Watching the game last night also told me how much Arsenal rely on that centre back partnership of Saliba and Gabriel, I thought they were both outstanding.

Could you imagine how Arsenal would do without them and Raya for a large part of the season.

PS. I also thought Spence was one of our better players and when Udogie comes back I think he would be a really good right back for us.

No Spurs haven`t. They were the better team in both games against Newcastle, most of the Brighton match, Ipswich match, Nottm Forest match. Only Palace and Liverpool were those sides really better. Arsenal at home could have gone either way, as could the Chelsea match.

Agree mate. Could you imagine Arsenal without say Raya, Gabriel and Saliba last night and for the previous two months.

I am astonished our supporters cannot correlate the severe injury list with the results in the Prem. OK maybe they could be a bit higher, but I have pointed out the horrendous fixture list since early December. Only Wolves and Southampton in amongst those big guns, and Spurs lost neither.

The bigger picture is going forward Spurs will be absolutely fine, provided they get a settled side with all their best players back.

We have the best defensive depth in the league and a couple of our backup defenders and Ben White are not fit, so if they were, we'd cope with Gabriel and Saliba's injury better than you think. It's in attack where our squad is very thin and Odegaard and Saka's long injuries this season has been of great significance.

You'd probably 6 to 10 points better off without your defensive injury issues, but I honestly believe it has been VERY convenient for Ange and your fans to avoid confronting the reality that you don't defend very well. It might end up saving him and buying him time he'd not have gotten with another flop season.

His biggest crime is not having a set piece coach when every other top club does - and he compounds it by freely admitting they don’t practice them in training.

Guess which side have conceded the most shots on target from set pieces this season.

He is a complete berk

I appreciate we have injuries but when you break it down, I think it's an overplayed excuse. The players coming in to replace that injured defence in Gray, Spence, and to a lesser extent, Kinsky, have all received plaudits from out fans so the issue isn't really at the heart of defence. They've largely done well in a trying situation (although I really don't like Dragusin at all). Most of our problems either stem from a determination to play out from the back or being far too passive in midfield. To my mind, Sarr and Bissouma had more to answer for than that defence and time and time again, the one first choice defender we have in Porro is woeful in his positioning.

Sure, we've had injuries but let's not kid ourselves here. We didn't have as many at the back end of last year and still our form was poor, still our defence (the strongest we had) leaked goal after goal.

This perception that getting Rom and VDV back will suddenly allow things to click is so flawed. For me the problem is in midfield more than defence and as talented as he can sometimes be, Bissouma needs to go. Gray needs to come in now. I've had enough of him losing possession too easily.

I don't know. All I know is that we're gonna be 14th after tonight below West Ham who sacked their manager for the position their in. I just don't think you can really blame injuries time and time again. Everyone gets them but most managers try and adapt their set up to plug those holes injuries have caused. He doesn't do anything.

Our league situation is dire. The only saving grace for our season is that we're still in the cup competitions.

I was Ange in, but now I'm neither Ange in or out....I'm sitting on the fence! Reason being is that I just don't know which manager can come in and suddenly turn our season round.

I must say that Ange was totally let down by the senior players last night. Maybe it was a product of them having played too many games over the last couple of months, but then again Gray has been a mainstay in the heart of our defence and he's not let his levels drop.

I am really sick of so called professional footballers that can't do the basics. I could name many players, but the ones that really p*ssed me off in particular last night were Porro and Bissouma

Spurs have only let in eleven prem goals away from home all season. And that includes visits to Man United, Man City, Newcastle, Nottm Forest, Arsenal etc. So even with most of the best defence missing, it is hardly catastrophic.

This is the most strangest PL season I have seen. Lots of teams with huge quality in the bottom half this season. Brighton for example have no PL wins in 8 league and 1 win in 9 league games. Spurs have 1 win in 9 league games. Man Utd have 2 wins in 9 league games.

Pretty certain you wanted Ange out 2 months ago Sandy, so you can’t exactly criticise supporters wanting him out when we likely sit 15th in the table by tonight. The results have been a disgrace. The injuries i can accept have been bad, but if you think we’re suddenly turning into this super team just because Romero/ VDV are back you’re incredibly delusional. Results will get better, but not by that much. Let’s be honest, we’re getting pulverised at Anfield

We do but highly likely they will be properly up to scratch as only will recently be back. Still think Liverpool pulverise us even with them fit

It’s a night game at Anfield. The Emirates has nearly faaack all atmosphere and our players couldn’t do it, there going to walking out at Anfield with YNWA ringing in their ears and schitt their pants.

Liverpool score in the first 15 mins and we will be out of it by half time.

Anfield is probably the hardest night time, cup, away game in Europe and people think a 1-0 lead will be enough - it won’t be, our only hopes are they have an injury crisis or their form falls off a cliff edge. I can’t see either happening. Even then, I wouldn’t put it past our yellow underbelly to prevail and see us knocked out.

What makes it annoying is that even with everything that’s happening, I would still really fancy us against Newcastle in the final

I doubt we will ever see Romero in a spurs shirt again. After those comments and how he has lengthy spells out.

VDV is a hamstring waiting to rip. I think he's a crock now. Such a shame.

Sandy is definitely a wind up merchant who fancies himself as the Spurs version of Culer.

Speaks utter nonsense only for bites and just because he was around in the 50s/60s and saw some trophies he feels the need to talk down to others and be high and mighty.

Yeh Prem is low quality this season. If Spurs are going to have an off season, this is the best season to have it. Expect them and United to be right back up there next season. If Forest can jump from near relegation to top three, both Spurs and United should have no problem.

Not true Don. I wasn't happy with Ange after the Coventry match, but I have fully backed him since. I have said for months that cups are the way forward this season. And five straight domestic cup wins, and only one defeat in six European games is absolutely backing me up. Don't notice a lot of praise for Ange's cup record.
