Ange has managed the squad poorly, Udogie was run into the ground when Spence or Reguilon should have been used more, same with Porro.

The fact Spence was not seen for so long is shockingly bad management, he has looked our best full back on either side since Ange was forced to use him.

And the stupid high line has contributed to other injuries, as well as rushing players back too soon. A clusterfack all round.

Even with all the injuries there is no way we should lose to Everton today. Sack him if we do.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

So a team with so many key players missing should not lose to another Prem side. How do you work that out? Any team is capable of beating any team on any given day. Spurs are as capable of losing to Everton as they were capable of beating both City and Liverpool. That`s how football works.

Although we were in the race for the top 4 for most of last season I remember alot of folk on here were livid about our Cup performances (especially changing the whole team for the Fulham match).

This season we have got back into Europe (8 games minimum and we will play at least 4 more games in the LC than last time) and it's taken on our squad. Like everyone I'm disappointed with our Prem campaign but we were never gonna win it whereas in the Cups we can beat anybody on our day.

It's not been all bad.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Well said Pawl.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Cheers Sandy it should read taken it's toll on our squad but I'm sure you got my general point.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I said a while back that the cups were the only way forward for Spurs this season. Just need some players back in the next couple of weeks for all the big cup games on the horizon. Losing Solanke probably for all the up and coming cup ties is a massive blow. But Ritchie will just have to step up.

Hopefully a more clever and resourceful Spurs fan than me can list the type of injuries the current players that are out have and where they were incurred (training or on match day). It would be very interesting to see.

Ange seems to be getting a lot of stick for our injuries, but there has been no factual evidence to back this up one way or another - not that I've seen anyway.

I think it's worth noting that Kulusevski is amongst one of our hardest workers in the squad (running wise) and he seems to have stayed clear of injuries. Also, many other teams in the PL are suffering with injuries. Unfortunately it's part of the game.

Where I do have major concern is why our medical department allow players to return, who then breakdown straightaway. And yes, it's the medical department that makes that call, not Ange. He has to go by their specialist advice.

This is not an Ange in comment as I am on the fence with him now, but there must be a balanced argument based on facts and not emotions right?

Spence, Dorrington, Lankshear....he could have given these guys more games.

Hard not to think these injury problems are not related to Ange. We had poor injury problems last season. that derailed us and we had far fewer games back then. Just don't think he's very good at handling the numerous competitions and rotating adequately.

It's Everton, a team that have scored 1 goal in the last 6, or 6 goals in the last 12 (4 in 1 game). It would not be acceptable to lose to them. We are already in terrible relegation form as it is and the next 4 games should be good for Ange, even with the injuries. He simply can't afford to lose any more right now if he wants to keep his job, at least if he was my manager.

Yep, it will get to the point where PL survival starts to become the main priority even over winning a cup. Imagine being in that position when we finished 5th last year and haven't won a trophy in nearly 20 years.

For the record, I don't believe we'll get relegated but it just puts how bad things have been for us into perspective.

If we lose today and Ipswich or Wolves do the same we will be no nearer the relegation zone.

If we draw (which I think we will) then we may be a point better off from the bottom 3 than we currently are.

However if we do lose today and against Leicester next weekend then it will be good night nurse for Ange.

Yes Sandy while you try your best to fly Ange flag, the sneaky weasel that is our bald chairman is offering the job to anyone who's available in Europe.

He is cosying upto Massimiliano Allegri currently, going to bed to seduce him to come to us.

O ye of little faith mr Chairman

-----------------------------------------
disagree. The greed infested chairman could help his manager, and buy a striker and a cb for now,.

The BS about January sale being impossible is understood now by fans. Look at Juve, they have almost addressed all their issues, with some fantastic signings.
The same thing Liverpool did 2015/16 season I beleive.

We are the only side who have this mentality of "it is what it is"

Get reinforcements, you bald nincampoop

Pay whatever and help the side out

We are one of the highest earners and our earnings are increasing every week, but don't act like a rich club;

We as Arsenal fans always get told the same thing. It's almost impossible to buy top players in Jan. It's nonsense

posted on 19/1/25

This is our fault though to not be prepared. The board and the manager.

We have a manager who does not rotate, who is too coward to use our academy, sends our most talented youngsters on loan refusing to use them, who plays square pegs in round holes. who sanctions the likes of Hojberg, Dier freezing them out then them leaving. Let alone his poor injury history record.

Then the board Werner on loan, solanke replacing kane 12 months apart, the complete mis management of the squad with 5 senior goalkeepers on the books. Gaps galore in the squad.

In August i said our squad is hammered, less on numbers with a minimum of 13 more games to play when we could not cope last season with the least amount of games in the country! I was told i was being too dramatic haha.

Bournemouth are flying with all their injuries. There squad is not better than ours.

We should all know where our problem lies.

Well difference being we had changed manager by that point and already started moving back up the table after the woeful start. Right now we are mid-season with the form being at its lowest ebb.

Whether we change the manager or not, or he is able to turn the form around is up for debate. But the Redknapp example shows how changing it can work in your favour. The form started to improve and he got top 4 the next season.

Should we get drawn into a relegation battle how do you think we would do. I would be very concerned given the character and general mindset of a lot of our squad.

Not that I think we will get any lower than 15th but if we should happen to I think we'd have enough compared to the other teams. We aren't getting soundly beaten by anyone like some of the teams below us. Shows Ange hasn't lost the dressing room or anything yet. I think there is more quality in our team to get us out of the poorest situations.
