So Levy's cure for all ailments, sack the manager, will it work? Well history suggests not at all, so the merry go round goes around and on we go, yawn yawning
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The alternative is someone finding £4bn down the back of their sofa and buying the club. Personally, I am currently a bit shy of that amount
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There's always alternatives

Ange in!
Disappointed that he actually changed the system and it didn't work.
Still loads of players out, no one will come in and do better at this point.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's like saying nobody would have done better when Ramos was struggling in the league. Well guess what? Redknapp came in and moved us up the table then got top 4 the following year. He, like Poch after him, had an unfancied PL team in the top half of the table when we appointed him. Iraola is doing the same thing with Bournemouth.
Can't be as stubborn as Ange and decide to do nothing just because it won't change, when it's proven in our own history that it can.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We might get a new manager bounce but where does that leave us long term?
What is proven is that changing our manager doesn't bring success so you can bring in all the facts you want this season about how our results are so bad but the truth is we haven't won anything since 2008 and sacking the manager will not change our fortune.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In a better place you would hope. Not sacking him and thinking it won't get any better is just so defeatist. I'd rather be with a manager doing Poch things and not winning anything than doing Ange things and not winning anything. However with a budget like Ange has had maybe a manager like Poch would win things?
The facts are Ange is leading us nowhere. The injuries are no excuse for losing today. We even had Davies and Rich back and still conceded 3 to a team that couldn't buy a goal until today, but if that's the Moyes effect then it just further shows what getting a new manager might do.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The fact that Ange is leading us nowhere is not really a fact.
Yes we are in a bad league position at the moment but what it we win a cup this year?
The 3 goals we conceded today were due to bullsht defending.
Gray got fell over himself, Dragusin just let the Everton player go past him like nothing and then Gray stuck it in the back of his own net when he should’ve cleared it.
3 goals I feel we would’ve stopped if we had Romero and VDV on the pitch.
Gray isn’t a CB and only 18, so he can’t be criticised too much but Dragusin needs to go, he’s useless.

1 win in 10 is leading us somewhere is it? We've gone from 5th to 15th in a season and a half and hundreds of millions spent. How is it going anywhere?
Winning a cup is incidental at this point by the way. When you're that bad in the league it will do little to Ange's credibility. That's if we were to win a cup....what if we didn't?

Yet he was one of the guys added to the injury list who we were apparently missing. Besides he was doing well before he got injured wasn't he? Helped keep a clean sheet when we beat City.

Sure, but that’s a different answer.
Danny said spend money, as if we had done a Poch Summer again.
Truth is we’re schitt at purchasing footballers to a strategy or plan, always have been. VDV - his body is not capable of playing Ange football consistently, Dragusin - has there ever been a CB less suited to Angeball?

How much has Iraola spent at Bournemouth after losing his star striker who scored 19 goals for him last year.
We spend money……..
BADLY
I can’t stand Levy and want him gone, but it’s a lazy and incorrect assertion that we don’t spend enough on transfers, we do.
Our problem and Levy’s failing is two fold:
1. We don’t pay enough in wages to attract the very best
2. His absolute biggest failing, we have zero and I mean zero strategy with transfers. It never makes sense and as soon as he sets a structure up he flip flops on it like he is the bastaard son of Sandy

We just need to keep him away from all footballing decisions if that's possible. Get someone in who is competent who can make them. It was a poor decision to even hire this SPL standard manager and then another poor one to give him the time that previous managers hadn't been given.

Levy’s strategy in regards to transfers - with the exemption maybe of some transfers for Mourinho and Conte - has always been to get players on fees that he deems good value with them also having a potential profit if they exceed expectations. All the whilst not demanding the upper limits of PL wages.
The only exception I can think of when he broke that mould would NDombele. As he shelled out top dollar at the time with exorbitant wages. Only for him to flop.

You just know the levy thing to do will be a 180 on strategy and appoint the opposite of what the club has been trying to achieve with an appointment of Southgate. Plus he won’t have to pay a release fee.

So Levy's cure for all ailments, sack the manager, will it work? Well history suggests not at all, so the merry go round goes around and on we go, yawn yawning

Yes we are in a bad league position at the moment but what it we win a cup this year?
posted on 19/1/25
The 3 goals we conceded today were due to bullsht defending.

You just know the levy thing to do will be a 180 on strategy and appoint the opposite of what the club has been trying to achieve with an appointment of Southgate. Plus he won’t have to pay a release fee.
