And seriously what is Levy doing this transfer window? we’ve not done anything apart from the goalkeeper, so we’re neither backing NOR sacking Ange.
What a monumental $hitshow.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Probably back to his old ways of looking for last minute cheap deals.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
View from the lane reckon he is waiting until the conclusion of the Euro group stages to see who may then be willing to sell - so cheap last minute deal as usual
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There's also the fact that he can't be that invested in Ange anymore. The board might be saying that they are backing Ange because they think it's the right thing to do this time but beneath it all they are reluctant to give any more signings to a man that most of us suspect won't win the cup, is in p!sss poor form, and is maybe doing more harm than good with his overtraining/style/lack of rotation, whatever it is.
I mean is there anyone still who doesn't think these constant injuries and Ange's management aren't related in some way?

You’d have to assume there’s clauses for sacking Ange in there that might be putting Levy off right now.

The fact we have to rely on one top player for each position, or results turn to shiete, is solely down to the incompetence and thrifty decision making of Levy.
A club of our size should have two top players for every position, so when injuries, suspensions and rotations happen, performances are not affected. Or at least have quality proven alternative players that can play numerous positions to a good level.
We don`t even have a top quality first XI, several positions could be upgraded, and some of the squad players wouldn`t get a game for Barnet.
I am still Ange in.
Agree that maybe he could play a little differently at times due to the injuries but I am not sure even if he did that would make results any better.
The amount of injuries we have had is unprecedented which is lost on a lot of fans and media.
This has gone on for months now and players playing through the pain barrier every 3/4 days.
Ange needs to be backed in this window and I just hope we get some players in before this season is a write off.

And yet in spite of these unprecedented injuries, since the City game, we have taken the lead 6 times in games we have dropped points in and only lost by a 1 goal margin in 7 of the 8 losses.
Admittedly, some teams could have put daylight between us, but when the scoreline remains that close and you take leads so often, then either we're punching above our weight in games with such bad injury problems, or it shouldn't be as bad as it is but the manager is making it worse. I know which one I'm choosing.

We can miss the odd player or 2. But 12 players out at once no team could cope with.
Whose VVDs back up? Salah? Haaland? Every team has weaknesses behind the first XI .
J.agine if Liverpool lost VVD Konate Alliosn Roberston for months. Who even is their 4th choice CB? Endo. Who replaces an injured Salah.
We've been.unluxky. It may be down to Ange and his methods if may be an incompetent medical team? Whonknows. Chelsea and NUFC had similar mass injuries last season and suffered. This season they're way better.

Most of the fanbase was sticking it on Romero for his performances in defence leading to goals, including yourself Sandy.
Would we do better with our full strength team? Yes.
Was Ange getting the most out of them anyway? No.
It's rare in football that you are ever going to get game after game with your full strength team anyway. Ange just needs to cope better when players are missing and not lose at every available opportunity. We've had enough games where we've been in front and lost to know the team could be managed in such a way as to hold on to those leads better.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I will admit Romero was hardly putting it in before his injury. But a combo of Romero and Micky as to be better than Draguson, Gray or Davies. I am sure Romero will come back and hopefully up his game.
I think the first choice back four would be Spence at RB over porro now. Spence has looked excellent and we are yet to see him in his best position.
Is it still vicario for no.1 ?

Billy no team is going to have two top players for every position. Not even Liverpool and City. And no club can legislate for having perhaps their best half a dozen players all missing at the same time for months on end.
This is not just the odd player going missing injured for a couple of matches. This is probably the worse injury crisis in the clubs history. Certainly the worse in my lifetime, and I have been supporting for close on 68 years now. I have never known the entire best defence, bar one player, get injured all at the sabe time for months at a time.

End of Feb to get them all back is a long way away and there's no guarantee it will happen.
More realistically, if you had to pick two to come back sooner to make a real difference in terms of results who would you prioritise?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Both the CBs. Pretty obvious choice.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And what's the timescale for their return?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Both back in training so hopefully see both of them before the Liverpool and Villa games next week. Two matches before then. Both should be getting time on the pitch.
Just on a side note Jamie Donley who is on loan at Leyton Orient has currently two assists in tonight's match and one of them is pretty special.
Looks like one for the future.

Fair enough. We have played some very attractive football at times e.g. Man City this season. However, there has been no consistency in results. It’s all well and good in blowing Man City off the park, but we also lost to Ipswich when we had most of our first team playing. A one trick pony and not good enough if we are going to progress.

The fact we have to rely on one top player for each position, or results turn to shiete, is solely down to the incompetence and thrifty decision making of Levy.
A club of our size should have two top players for every position, so when injuries, suspensions and rotations happen, performances are not affected. Or at least have quality proven alternative players that can play numerous positions to a good level.
We don`t even have a top quality first XI, several positions could be upgraded, and some of the squad players wouldn`t get a game for Barnet.

Agree, I think Spence has been great when he has played although I do think Porro is a better player than what he currently is, he is just another player who is playing every minute at the moment.
Vicario still number one for me.

Yeh probably Spence over Porro right now. But that's still mainly because Porro needs a rest. And Vicario still number one with me, although both Austin and Kinsky have done OK.

FAO Devonshire and Sandy. Let’s just cut to the chase: are you happy with this manager?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I am. No problem with Ange. He had the team playing decent football when he had most of the players fit.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fair enough. We have played some very attractive football at times e.g. Man City this season. However, there has been no consistency in results. It’s all well and good in blowing Man City off the park, but we also lost to Ipswich when we had most of our first team playing. A one trick pony and not good enough if we are going to progress.
