Pace, running at defenders, accurate finishing and unselfish.
Cannot.be bad! Look forward to seeing him in the lilywhite shirt.
If even half this article is true we've got a serious player on our hands.
I would like to think Spurs have a decent young players on their hands. But when did he actually last score? I know zero about him, hopefully he does a job.
For once it will be really interesting what our starting line up will be for tomorrow

Morning all
Yes, we have a nucleus of excellent players and I am salivating at the prospect of what future should bring.

Better than takes hardly any chances, like some current lot....How often as fans we scream shoot and the player plays a side pass instead!
I'd rather shoot even if that knocks the drummer on row Z down!

Most forwards do I would say. If he has 3 chances and scores 1, that's still good.

All strikers miss more chances than they take.
He’s an exciting talent. I’m looking forward to watching him. From what I move seen he is better as a nine but has played most of his minutes on the left for Bayern. We are pretty well stocked on the left so I’m guessing he will play down the middle. Not sure what that means for solanke
Can’t help but feel we really needed a right sided one on one specialist to get the most out of anges tactics. But hey, he simply cannot be worse than last January’s last minute bargain for Werner.
There is a double-edged sword to him hitting the ground running. I'd sooner have him play well but not absolutely storm it in the next four months. If he hits the ground running, like a Suarez, we'll have absolutely no chance of sealing a permanent deal, which will be more lucrative for the club in the long run, as £50m for a man with this promise is a snip.
Having an option in some ways is a good thing but in this instance, with Tel insisting on having a say if it's taken up, all it really represents to the vultures is a big sign that says "THIS IS HOW MUCH IT'LL TAKE TO BUY ME". All they'd have to do is match our agreed price and it's done.
We need to either hope he's not truly amazing or he weirdly falls in love with the club.
Think you are jumping the gun abit. We have to agree to to take the option and he has to agree as well.
We are paying a €10m loan fee for the lad which is alot. So you would think we have certain built in certain clauses to protect us IF he decides to go elsewhere.
Is he available for selection at Klanfield?

You have to remember how desperate we were. I'm not sure what kind of clauses you think will be in there but an option is pretty meaningless if you don't have the player on board. An obligation is a totally different ball game.
I don't think there will be any favourable clauses for us. I think we're just hoping that he enjoys it and wants to stick around. If you look at it from the club's point of view, should he want out, it's out of our hands so they can't really be blamed if he goes. I think this is only really a short term fix so we can give it a go in the cups, nothing more. There's no doubt Levy is eyeing the Europa League. Win that and he's financially back in the big time again in the CL so for the first time ever, he'll actually want us to win a trophy. Not because he wants success but because he'll want the money it brings. That's why he's happy to sanction the Tel deal, even if it is short term.
If we fail to qualify for the CL and another CL club matches that price, we're toast.

Ange Postecoglou on his conversation with Mathys Tel:
“People need to understand we're talking about a 19-year-old player with a major decision, it's not so much about rejecting us or anyone. He wanted to be comfortable with the decision. He didn’t want to be pushed in a certain direction, credit to him.
I had a conversation with him and purely around the football and that I think he’ll find a great place here in terms of where is in his career. We've shown inrrespective of age, he'll get an opportunity and the way we play will suit him and what we have in the next few months and beyond it's a perfect fit.
It's right that it took as long as it did so he's comfortable with it. That he took so much time and was diligent, and made the decision when he had options, it meant the right mentality, right player, he’s ambitious, with self belief and self confidence and feels he can reach the very top.”
-----------------------
Would never have got this sort of detail from previous managers including Poch. Poch would have said something like, I gave him a copy of my book with some lemons and he decided to come
