How awful must Blackburn be run if the manager wants to leave a club 4th in the Championship for one 4th from bottom?

Apparently he was let down twice in the transfer window. I recall last Jan they lost our on a player due to delayed adminstration. The exact same thing happened again during this Jan's window which may well have been the straw that broke the camel's back.

That coincides with PW getting the sack after the transfer window shut ( unusual timing) because Clowes had been notified of Eustace's issues at Blackburn/ or by this point had expressed an interest in joining us.

Eustace is bringing Keith Downing with him as an assidtent. Downing is the cousin of KK Downing, guitarist of Judas Priest. KK once gave me a fourball voucher to play at the golf course he used to own in Shropshire, Astbury Hall, as a reward for getting a hole in one on the 12th. This was before KK went bankrupt and had to sell everything.

I tell you, it's all connected.

Personally I sense he's moving to a club where he will be supported ( financially as best as Clowes possibly can) , will be listened to whereas at Birmingham and Blackburn he possibly was just in charge of the team. Here with his coaching team he'll have more of a say and impact on how things shape up and given that level of control the project may feel more attractive. Add to it the fact he's closer to his family and feeling more settled and offers Eustace the ability to get more out of himself. There's only so long you can live out of a hotel if indeed he was.

It would be great to see Darren Walsall and co. return having left after PW joined but I think financially , pastures new may make that unlikely.

I hope this new set up allows the Academy to kick on , produce some incredibly talented players who will be given opportunities in the first team.

RD did ask the question which player would benefit from Eustace's style. Kenzo's name came up a few times ( who would you say would benefit?)

I'd like to see our wingers benefit along with their fitness. Could this be the lifeline for CBT and we see him flourish when he does return? Can we get more out of Jackson, Harness and NML and find a solution for who plays where having seen NML on the left and be ineffective.

Who could Eustace draw in to the club from the free agents available that will help us become more creative/ attacking?

Clowes first proper appointment lasted 2.5 years. That's clearly much longer than any of Mad Mel's. Here's to our future, to continuity and long term success under Eustace's management.

KK also wrote the famous Harry Potter series of books so shouldn't be bankrupt.

Not been able to find anything on the futures of Hamshaw (goalie coach?) and Warrington. Does anyone know where they now stand? It sounds as though neither of the two coaches who have come in with JE is a goalie coach so you would think that Hammy at least would stay on?

Article in The Times by Gregor Robertson on why Eustace would want the move. Clearly not all beer and skittles at Blackburn but not entirely complimentary either. Worth a read for those who can.
