What has the stadium done for you?

Great stadium, one of the best I've ever been to. Old WHL was fun but it had its time and needed to be upgraded, also nostalgia has plagued how people remember it.

Its increased spurs worth as an asset. Which is why they did it, as that’s your owners MO, he does not give a fack about footy. And neither does levy, his directive is to increase the asset (spurs) worth. You lot want totally different things from them
----------------------------------------------------------------------

But how does it increase our worth?

By increasing our revenues.

And what does that do?

Put at least £200m more in Spurs bank account that at WHL

And what does that mean.?

We can spend a lot more on transfer and wages.

And what have we done?

Spend a lot more on transfer and wages.

Why, Baz, have LFC considered a new stadium nut instead extende massively? WHy are Newcastle and Chelsea exploring these options. Why are INEOS considering it. Why have Barca and Real spent massive sums.

To go down this pure ownership greed argument is to be blinkered and stupid.

If you take Spurs 2015/16 revenues @ WHL, its about 280m Euros.

Take Spurs current revenues its over 600m. Some of that is due to increased TV revenue, but the vast majority is new matchday and commercial revenues made possible by the new stadium.

If you look at our transfer fee amortisation in 2016, its about £30m.. Now its more like £110m.

Same with total THFC wages. 2016 £100m. 2022/23 £250m.

Financially we'd be financially weaker than West Ham if we had not built new WHL.

Given the ridiculous inflation of the PL increases in wage spending is to be expected. Don’t you have the lowest wage bill vs top six, by some distance? New stadium is a good idea, and it’s an impressive one at that, but my point was football isn’t your owners prime goal, it appears it’s actually a fair bit down the list.

Nice to hear. As I say, I haven’t been back since 2019 so no idea what it’s like now.

Would you go back to the old whl if it meant titles?

We never won titles at WHL in my time so makes no difference.

Unlike most I don’t hold WHL in some sort of glorious light.

It was a run down shiet hole that had a nice pitch. Prefer the new one so much more.

Yup.

And people forget how bad the atmosphere was at times at the old ground as well. Which is why the fighting c*ck ran those campaigns to get a group of fans to the same section for singing

Its not just about how much is spent on wages. It is a factor but too simplistic to think that its the only reason.

We need to be exemplary across the whole club to be serious contenders. The challenge is more than just spending more on players wages.

The rearranged NLD after the g00ns chickened out of the original fixture because Saka had covid. It was rocking that day and inspired an amazing dominant performance.

Generally speaking, the best players in the world are on the highest wages. Our wage bill being the lowest out of the top 7 PL clubs, despite having one of the highest revenue figures speaks volumes. Quite simply, the club is turning over good money but not investing this income on top quality players (that are on high wages).

Best atmosphere I ever went to was the 3-1 win vs Real Madrid as having all of Wembley singing loudly was insane.

I think from a lot of people I've heard the best Spurs atmosphere they'd ever been to was the 5-1 win against Arsenal.

Man United have won a few trophies since spurs lady did. Including the premier league.

You’re a stats guy. Leicester aside, what was the lowest in the wages table a side was when they won the premier league?

I garruntee you it wasn’t eighth

Just so I’m clear., because the likes of the above do love to spin things, I consider those who promote and protect Daniel levy and Enic to be minions, not those that support the team. Go back through all my posts and check what I have written rather than just chucking rubbish on my threads. You will see I have nothing but sympathy and respect for FOOTBALL fans. They are the very reason I am so steadfast in my protest against supreme leader as I do not believe he has their interest at heart and never has.

Before I realised what levy was doing to my club, I went every week, further back than that, I went away too

Thanks for your time though.
