Maybe … but my excuse is that I had to call it to enter Dave’s top-6 challenge😁 … and I do stick by my predictions there (us going up as Champs) … also, if it’s still a 3 horse race vis-a-vie the gap between Sheff U and Burnley, logically it must still be a 4 horse race with Sunderland just 3 points behind Burnley, but I’m still sticking with my Champs prediction for us … finally, there’s a £10k bet on offer (see below thread) for anyone who thinks we won’t be Champs before last day of the season😁.
Fair point about Sunderland TLB.
Basically, 3 horse or 4 horse race.
It's not in the final straight yet.
Nah, not feeling it. If it was one position up for grabs, then fair enough, but I just can't see us not being in the top 2. Burnley and Sheff Utd will drop points, they're not as good as us or even covincing tbh, think we can coast it in all honesty. Back to back draws or defeats and we're open for business, until then, we've shut up shop.

Yep, being serious for a moment (savour it - it doesn’t happen very often😁) that’s how I feel too. More twists and turns ahead of us just yet👍
I think there is more 'backbone' to the club/team this season than last.
That could well be tested next Sunday, given by the time we play again, SU should be on level points and Burnley could have closed the gap to two.
Handling the expectation is the acid test. If Burnley get anything less than 6 points in their next two I will be feeling much happier.
Ultimately though, it is still ours to lose. We control our own destiny right now.
👍. I do also think DF’s recent record of getting the big calls right bodes well.
Yes we’re deffo jumping the gun. Complacency is the biggest enemy - not just of the fans, but the team, too. Correct me if I’m wrong but at 1-0 up yesterday we went into coasting mode and paid the price. Of course, 3 matches ago I would have taken 7pts out of 9 but after convincing (albeit last-gasp) wins against Sheff U and Sunderland we should never be drawing at home to W Brom. Let’s put the next few matches to bed and work towards finishing top with a few matches to go.
Well, I posted this article below at the end of 2024, for a reason. Why? Because I felt it was realistic, and
Much of what I said has manifested itself
However, my main sentiment was based around the fact that with an easier run in in paper of our rivals, if we were top by now, Farke and the players have the experience to now pull away, and that is what I am expecting. Nothing wrong with being fairly confident.
Yesterday, I saw a game reminiscent from of the one against Blackburn, where the performance didn’t get us across the line.
https://www.ja606.co.uk/articles/viewArticle/465524
If the club does not go up from here, it’s a massive failure. 2 clubs have to over take us and we’ve got a lovely set of fixtures to end the season with. You’d find it difficult to choose a better run in. Win our home games and get 2 wins away and we’ve won the league, evening if we lose 4 games, which is more than we have all season.
With Burnley, they’ve blanked in 4 of last 8 games, not sure why you think they’re suddenly scoring. They’ve got a fairly tricky run in as well - Sheff Utd, West Brom, Coventry, Norwich, Bristol. In contrast, we’ve got Boro and all rest are bottom half.
Unless we completely collapse and Burnley put a 12 game run together better than they’ve managed all season, we go up.
We have just played 2nd 4th and 5th last 12 days, and got 7 points.
We have got Millwall, preston, swansea, stoke and Bristol city at home.
All away games are against bottom half clubs apart from Middlesboro, who have been stinking for weeks.
Lost only 3 games all season, unbeaten for 17 games. Havent lost for 6 months at home.
Nearly fully fit squad, with Bamford to come back.
With the goal difference, its a two game swing with sheffield united and Burnley.
But they play each other, so its really a three game swing with one of them.
Sheffield united have tought away games at sheff weds and Burnley
DF really needs to sort out his team rotation. We have so many attacking options not getting a kick and then knackered players playing every game 2 times a week. It's not rocket science Daniel. Really annoys me.
And how Ramazani and Willy are not getting anywhere near enough game time when we desperately need a goal beggars belief.
Other than that Daniel is amazing 😁
I think we've got this in control. I'd like to see a little more time for Ramazani and Gnonto but James and Solomon can contribute the full ninty.
Good to see him subbing Aaronson earlier in games but he's not contributing at all so I'd get him out completely.
Never seen such an overreaction in my life to a draw!! Not particularly this post, but some of the drivel on social media has been mind boggling.
We're unbeaten in 17. While the performance yesterday wasn't the best, we still should have won. No comparison whatsoever with our home performances late last season against Blackburn & Sunderland.
Sheffield United haven't been brilliant lately. They won't win every game, neither will Burnley.
Big dose of calm down required.

It was all sounding good - until you mentioned Bamford
Wish we didn't throw that cup tie against Millwall...it's wide open!
I think the phrase “don’t count your chickens until they hatch” is quite apt atm. I still cannot state “we are going up” until it is a mathematical certainty! I’ve supported Leeds far too long to know we are the best at “messing up” and after the end of last season it’s a case of “once bitten, twice shy”. It’s quite possible for lightening to strike twice where Leeds is concerned.
Having said all that, I’ve really enjoyed this season and the lads have been brilliant. They deserve to go up.

Bamford. The human medical test dummy.
We are all saved.
Only a fcking clown thinks Bamford can affect anything these days. Other than over time for our medical team.
Hoping this overpaid tw4t goes away this summer.
Tired of the excuses for him by his family.

Nice work, Best, and that would be very re-assuring for just about anybody...except a Leeds supporter
I think you have forgotten that Burnley are guaranteed to go on a bad run now they have been knocked out the FA Cup just like what happened to us.
jumped the gun? - that depends on the individual, I think most normal Leeds fans realised whilst we're top, theres a long way to go yet.
but nothings changed ffs... a draw at home to a good side like West Brom.. 7 from 9... would have totally taken that 3 games ago..
lets not jump the gun either way... zero need to be negative....
comments like "DF really needs to sort out his team rotation. We have so many attacking options not getting a kick and then knackered players playing every game 2 times a week. It's not rocket science Daniel. Really annoys me" - do me a favour...... lets keep consistently doing what we're doing shall we!

We did look a bit lethargic on Saturday. Not sure what it was tiredness creeping in perhaps. Aaronsons not been playing well. I'm not a BA knocker he's done pretty well this season but been off it last few games.
Hopefully now we have a slight break for the Pompey game we should be more up for it. Although another 12 kick off right down south. Sky really like ruining things for us.
Don't understand the way people don't give the players some slack, along with Farke they've done a great job to get where they are, and you can bet the teams around us that we've damaged more than they have us are looking at us in the same way!..
Let the team do what they're doing and let the others worry about us!..
23 other teams in the EFL would swap places with us this second - It's in our hands and we have a much better balance than last year.
