Levy giving the one manager he shouldn't give more time to, time, and the other managers he should, not enough. It might be his most Spursy moment yet.

What a shiiit show!

5th choice manager from a Pub league because nobody else wanted the job

Talks a big game but is way out of his depth

Sadly, I don't think top managers want to work for Levy, when the likes on Conte & Jose publicly threw the club under the bus on their way out, people notice.

Players don't want to come because the focus is on developing young players for profit, not winning in the short term and we don't pay top wages.

You get what you pay for

Nobody but Levy benefits from a nice stadium

This might be true but Levy via this failed experiment with Ange is at least showing to potential managers, he'll give you time and money. We can't exactly knock him for that, even if you can knock his decision to back an Australian PE teacher with more time and question some of the recruitment choices.

Players and managers will always still follow money about and we do have that going for us.

Great article. The fact that we ended the 23/24 season with 5 losses out of 7, dispels the myth that injuries this season are solely to blame for our poor form.

I wouldn't be using Levy's treatment of Ange as a benchmark for anything. Fail to get through next week and he's gone..... Spurs under levy are profitable (good for levy) and trophy dodgers (bad for players, managers & fans)

Its Very simple... Football is a risky business and levy is risk averse. We all know the stadium will make money. Transfer fees can be recouped and sometimes profitable... Sadly for us, wages cannot be recouped, and the best players want the best wages

The best football is played by the best players being well coached.... we have neither

It's hard to argue with any of that although I wouldn't sack him now. There's no point. If a change is going to come, it has to be in the summer. If, by some miracle, we win the EL, he might get a stay of execution, but I'd say that's highly unlikely.

I'm not really on board with another Mason interim job. It's pointless. We should start looking now but the trigger shouldn't be pulled until the summer. When I called for Ange's head, I always meant summer rather than now.

Those of us with common sense knew this already and we're seeing the same thing now the players are back. Form has improved a bit but performances are still terrible. All I keep seeing, injuries or no injuries, is a team that gives the opposition great chances while we struggle to make our own. It was like that last night, like that with City and like it with Ipswich and United, only the latter 2 are poor enough that we could get away with it and beat them.

Well before under Levy he'd have been gone at a number of those points in the OP I've mentioned. Levy decided after the previous failings he's going to opt to give a manager more time for a change. It's backfiring of course but at least he's been open to it. Such a shame he didn't try this approach sooner with previous better managers. May have won some trophies by now.

The only realistic chance of us winning the Europa is by changing the manager. Maybe we get through in the second leg but there's no way this manager wins us this competition.

Mason is not ideal as an interim. If we can get a Redknapp or someone else it would be worth doing. I've heard Redknapp on Talksport enough saying what Ange should do to know we'd be better off with him.

Id have given a tactically savvy manger in Potter a short term deal with Both sides having the option to review in the summer..... Similar to what West Ham did with him.... I think this Spurs squad is good enough to win the Europa but not with Ange. We have been a lower half of the Prem Club (in terms of wins & points) since the Chelsea home game last season... His first 10 games !!... scary stuff

I'd have been ok with Potter but I think Redknapp is a better fit for an interim who we want to come in and boost our chances of winning a cup. He'd sort of get into the players and galvanise them. Like I can imagine Maddison really taking to him and him having an uplift in performance. If we had the Maddison back that we had in those first 10 games, we'd have a great chance of winning it.

Sticking with Ange is just another calamitous decision from levy to go with all the others

Still people on here stick by him. Just make excuses for what your eyes see.

I can understand you want ange out but do you honestly believe you have a good squad?
Injuries or not I can't see you higher than 9th or 10th. Son is finished as a top threat and solanke and Madison are average.
Some good youth but that's for the future.

It’s the same squad that finished 5th a year earlier

It’s certainly better than a lot of sides above us - Palace, Fulham, Bournemouth, Brentford

Yes but Levy thinks "we`ve got our Tottenham back" , we have our Tottenham back alright, the Tottenham from 1991 onwards.

Levy out.

I think we are seeing signs the players have had it with him now... We were losing games when performances were largely ok but not we are losing and playing poorly too. We look open at the back, disjointed with zero goal threat.

The starting line ups and subs make no sense at all. Danso as LCB makes no sense. He susb madds off (mostly) when he's having a Stormer then keeps him on longer when having a bad day. The persistence with Johnson is baffling.

The players just look completely lost, they can't seem to press as a unit or defend as a unit even when they supposedly had longer to train together.

The advice he's getting from Mason, wells and co also seems to be woeful.

It all seems very amatuer.

My only issue with keeping him for the season is risking more players to injury and potentially not seeing the full potential of players we are 50/50 on keeping. The likes of bentancur and Tel spring to mind. What has happened to bents I don't know. He always used to look forward, get stuck in, a real leader. He looks like a lost sheep now.

I did not see in your article getting tactically outclassed by non league Tamworth in the Fa Cup.

The one thing about Ange is that he weirdly cannot play derbies. We just get smashed everytime we play Arsenal/Chelsea. Yet his whole waste of space persona is based on rivalry non stop talking about the old firm.

Anybody be it Matt Wells, Ryan Mason, Stuart Lewis, Wayne Burnett, Harry Redknapp, The Tamworth Manager, Red Rum, The ghost of the great brian clough. Even Ossie and lord i love Ossie Ardilles would do a better job.

Not could have been SHOULD have been sacked.
