Just re-entered the social media sphere after avoiding it to watch the recorded 🇮🇪 🇫🇷 game. Very disappointing but throughly deserved by 🇫🇷.

Very emotional in PP today - I know, I know it’s just one win but I just can’t put my finger on exactly what happened. Maybe it was putting away an early chance, 50/50 balls going our way, lucky ricochets going to a white shirt. I dunno 🤷‍♂️

I knew my hangover on Friday was worth it.

My take-home, from what Ive heard, seen & read today, is that there were no square pegs and round holes and we played with a genuine passion, that we've not seen for some while.

Wouldn't say there was any greater effort Ang; rather that it was more controlled, channeled and sustained than we have been used to. All looked comfortable within their assigned roles for sure. All this is presumably the Eustace effect. Long may it continue.

The only blight is the wretched injury list which keeps on growing. Langas the latest with a knee injury needing a scan.

Hi Chicago. I think you're right. The effort has always been there...although the belief has waned. I think the difference today was that the midfield/defence supported the attack more. I also feel that when the bad run started under Warney he became Very stressed / depressed. This was very evident in his interviews when he was clearly "struggling". Ive noticed that Eustace has always been very positive and cheerful in his interviews. I think of the players see the Mánager down in the dumps it has an effect on them. Hopefully this game is a turning point in our season.
I also heard in his interview yesterday that he (E) is working closely witt Bucko to intentify who can potentially step up from the U21s. Cheers.Terry. UTR 🐏🐏🐏🐏

I don’t know if it was one of the final twitchings of the corpse or the start of the turning around of the supertanker but it felt miraculous at the time. I thought Harness did as well as you could expect at the top of the pitch and I agree that Wilson was MOM and lifted the whole ground with his positivity and ability to carry the ball. While it was nerve-shredding, JZ had no saves to make in the second half so defensively we were as well-organised as ever and crucially without the individual errors that have cost us. Well, maybe Fozzy could have thrown himself at the ball to block the pull-back for their goal but that would be harsh - he was top-notch.

The injuries are almost comical. Have we got eleven starters for Tuesday? Stretch was struggling before he was subbed, Tommo was knackered, Langås is now out and it is a worry having to flog players like Wilson and Elder with their recent injury history but there seems no option.

In truth, Blackburn were very ordinary. It was a bit like the West Brom game really where they had lots of possession but no penetration. Cov will be very tough. We now have a slight sniff of a chance but as ever we have so few goals in the team - our main threat is set-pieces or scrappy ones like yesterday. I still feel it is more likely than not to be beyond us just because of the absentees but if we can stay within touching distance there is a chance. CBT may not be too far from a return and perhaps he could give us something on the left similar to the effect Wilson had on the right yesterday. It’s a bit of a straw-clutch but before yesterday there didn’t even seem to be a straw.

I did say passion and not effort and, although its a nebulous quality, I think that eminates from the manager.
What I do think is that we had the best starting 11 available, players playing in their preferred positions and some sort of method, at last.

Viking confirmed now as out for the season. He's posted some comments indicating it's not an ACL but injured his knee in training.

Questions also around the state of the pitch and the training pitches at Moor farm. Possibly something to consider along with the medical team and fitness regime as these were all Clowes appointments.
