It's not a beauty pageant or ice skating
competition where if you look good, you win.

In the Championship, it's a hard slog to May.
Not a sprint. You earn it. And you have to be
mentally tough all season. Not pretty on paper.

Personally, I think Burnley are the form team.
Made use of January better than anyone.
Reckon they'll go up as Champions.

Do we or Sheff U get the second spot?

Cakewalk it isn't.

I think we'll still do it batts but not in the commanding fashion we all hoped and after getting giddy after beating Shef Utd we have been well and truly brought back down to earth and I wouldn't be surprised if it's Shef Utd's 2 point penalty deduction that proves to he the difference between us and them and then it's whether Burnley maintain their form and whether we can bounce back quickly because with 10 games to go we are exactly the same as last season points wise where we only got 14 more points and that has to be bettered by some margin I'd say to avoid a repeat of the wheels coming off.....Wednesday massive now obviously and next Saturday's early kick off against QPR where you hope it isn't another below par performance.

Nice one Batty👍. Cakewalk it isn’t indeedy-doody😁.

Also, speaking of Burnley, they’ve really torn into that GD deficit and are now ‘only’ 10 behind us … still worth a point to us but that gap seems to have closed fast over the last couple of weeks … wouldn’t want it to close any further tbh😬

Feels like last season, although that feeling will dissipate if we win the next two. We went on a 13 game win after January last season, today we ended a 17 game unbeaten run, hence that feeling. Promotion isn't won in January, February or March, its won in April and May, that's when you need the squad fully fit and firing, and loke the past we wavered when it mattered, potential for that to happen again is a concern.

Have to say when you witness a performance like we did today albeit a tad unlucky not to get a penalty and missing a couple of gilt edged chances but overall a performance like that in the Premier League we'd
be severely embarrassed and although I have relaxed my critical opinions of Farke since we went on this unbeaten run his use of subs yet again was not well applied and I worry about this next season if we do still manage to drag ourselves over the line because the Pompey boss certainly out smarted tactically DF today with his early changes while DF dithered and reacted too late.

Hopefully the boys bounce back quickly and maybe Farke with even better players at his disposal in the Premier League God willing won't be exposed as often tactically as he was today and a number of other occasions this season and last...Still in are own hands and top with 10 games to go we'd all havd been happy with at the beginning of this season but boy oh boy we should have guessed Leeds will make us sweat and test our patience and sanity too...it's the Leeds way!

It’s our fourth 1-0 loss of the season. 17 unbeaten before that. We should and could have won that game, just didn’t happen today.
10 games to go…we are top, best goal difference, and arguably the easier schedule. This promotion won’t be just handed over to us. We have to earn it. I am very confident we go on and go up as Champions. Big week ahead. MOT

Leeds indeedsy.

Always the same. Absolute pressure cooker of a club.

Wait until this time next week.

Best to have our wobble now, last season it came too late.

posted on 9/3/25

There was always going to be a wobble. Granted one point from two games is poor, but we should have won both.

Still think we'll go up as champions.

Do have to admit to worries over certain players today though.

Piroe has always been Mr Cool in front of goal, couple of poor misses today.

Tanaka didn't want to battle, looked scared.

Meslier's dithering.

Was saying to a bloke at work recently that we have the best attack, best midfield, best defence, best wingers, best home record, best squad and the best fans. What we don't have, is the best history/mentality when it comes to sealing promotion

Too many think we look so pretty we can't possibly
be anything but gorgeous. And yet, it's always about what's between the ears. Everything else is arbitrary.

It's why carrying a crap #9 on massive wages with
fck all between the ears or heart kills you.

At this point in the season it's 'prove it' time.

It's all well and good predicting 100/100 in august.
And shouting down anyone who dissents. Trouble is,
the club, manager, players have to do it by May.

Win promotion in May and all's forgiven.

Bleat about it before then and ya look a bit daft.

If we are still too after 46 games I wonder what that will mean for the description of me? And also you?

Remember you’re the expert panicking about our lack of CBs when you were also telling us we were going to play 3 at the back this season.

The only snag in the possibility of Farke being a flop in the Premier League with his dithering and handbreaking costing us dearly and I'd lay generous odds of evens at that being the case after today is who would replace him??? I can't think of a realistic attainable or superior
coach unless as me and TLB have once or twice pondered, there is the possibility of Klopp coming out of coaching.retirement to lend a hand at the bequest of his Red Bull employers.

Win on Wednesday and I know today will be swept under the carpet but for me we need to be very concerned about whether or not DF's coaching ability has reached its ceiling in the Championship and is only going to
hamstring us in the EPL and leave us too far cut adrift
after a dozen games like Southampton or we just cling onto hope that he will adapt better than he did when he took Norwich up twice.
