the KP tht Bielsa created, YES . The KP from before and after Bielsa NO
He just isn't the same player as he was three years ago.
Is he fit enough to hit the ground running if we go up?
If he wasn't Kalvin and he didn't have a history with our club would you be happy with signing a 29 year old player who had his best seasons 4 years ago and can't get into the Ipswich side?
Sadly it's a no for me as he looks a shadow of the player he was under Bielsa and looks to have gone a similar path to a few other players who made a big money move but stank the place out like Drinkwater from Leicester to Chelsea and Rodwell from Everton to Man City to name just two.
He's a Bielsa burnout baby. No thanks
Always welcome back at Elland Road Kalvin….but sadly not out on the pitch in White if we go up.
We are all always grateful…
No please no, although better than Gruev
Slower and fatter than me

exactly this...
the miracles Bielsa worked with some of these bang average players still astounds me.
KP, Alioski, Dallas, Klich, Bamford, absolute bang average made to look like utter world beaters.
I was a definite no. But if the price was say £10m I don’t think it would be bad. With Ampadu and Tanaka I don’t think he is an automatic starter at all. Maybe a move back without the pressure of being a key player will help.
Any more than £10m and it feels too much of a risk though.
Love the guy but as previously said, he was another Bielsa overachiever. Besides, returns are rarely happy in football.

Can't help but agree with this tbf
You know its made up when the £20m is in the rumours 🤣🤣🤣
He’s worthless now.
But you know what, a loan deal for a year, on massively subsidised wages, I wouldnt be totally against it
I forgot that actually KP did a very competent job as a centre half under Bielsa and I was surprised Pep never gave him a chance at City in that position when they had injury issues with Stones and a couple of other cb's and when he was loaned out West Ham and now Ipswich
haven't done likewise which what seems apparent is his
pace which was never amazing but even so it has
reduced significantly these last couple of seasons and so being utilised as a squad centre half on a free transfer wouldn't be the worst deal to strike.
Also thinking about our potential spending limits the club are going to have to wheel and deal and won't want to gamble away many millions on an ex player due to sentiment so for me I'll still say no on a permanent deal but yes to a loan and if we stay up with KP making a key contribution perhaps then a permanent deal could be negotiated but I wouldn't go as high as 10 million maybe 5/6million max.
Knowing the way the 49ers have done things, they'll more than likely have a few names in the hat, so, maybe this is just another name like so many x-players someone has thrown in the ring and the 49ers'll be looking at players that nobody here knows much about!..
They do seem to find the odd player(s) that changers the mood around here to the good!.
I’d rather spend £20m on getting Raph back 😉🤣
Or his left leg!
Who’s dissing this thread? I’m only reporting what I’ve been reading. No need for the low stars 🤣🤣🤣
OK:
5 star - yes please!
4 star - £10m
3 star - £5m
2 star - loan or free
1 star - no way Jose!
