We know Mo and Virj are at the latter stages but they are still the best in the world. The succession plan should start with those 2 still around.

Can another forward or 2 be relied on with Salah's output?

Can we play games where VVD can be rested and it won't look like a gaping hole. If Mo and VVD stay we still need:

- left back
- right back
- CB
- DM
- LF & CF

We should make some decent sales with Kelleher and a couple of the forwards so there is no need to break any bank.

I think Kerkez and Frimpong will happen. Too much noise and it makes sense.

However, I’ve been saying for months that they’ve left themselves too much to do.

If those three leave then we’ll have a 19 man squad, which is just silly for a club of our stature.

I like FSG, but their handling of contracts has been poor for half a decade now.

I've said a few times now it looks like everyone took their foot off the gas since the title win.

Fair enough it would've been the weight of the world for 30 years lifted off their shoulders but if you're standing still in today's world, you're moving backwards

I think they’ve missed a trick myself. We’re in a position where we could conceivably win back to back titles, maybe more.

I think they’d be happy with top 5 though.

Yeah, I mean they can always say they achieved their primary targets since they took over.

Whether they actually see world domination as the next step remains to be seen

Hopefully knowing there is 100m to be made if we qualify for the world club cup might motivate them.

Winning leagues does mean they have to pay a load of bonuses.

We list every single employee of the club in our wages though.

I think it's only us and Utd that does it that way, if I remember correctly

People always say this and I always ask for proof that this is the case but I am yet to see any.

Winning leagues makes more money than the bonuses we pay. It's why we pay the bonuses to motivate players further. FSG pay the bonuses which help us win trophies, which you enjoy and celebrate. Genuine genius.

I don't think theres many clubs that pay as much in bonuses as we do. FSG have facked up regularly but let's not go over the edge here because ultimately they deliver the goods and that's what matters.

I mean. Do u honestly think ohr playing staff salaries amount to 2nd highest in the league and are anywhere near 386 million a year?

That doesn't really answer my question. What does it matter what a club reports to the media? You asked for a wage bill so here it is, who cares.

It's the actual accounts that are registered under the Companies Act 2006 that matter. We have our balance sheet, TPL accounts etc. Can anyone make this argument using real facts as opposed to utter nonsense and tripe?

Look how worked up some people are.

The wage rise comes at a time when the club are to post record revenues of £594.3m, the third highest on the Money League table for 2022, with the wage bill accounting for around 62 per cent of revenues, a figure that flies comfortably under UEFA's recommended ceiling of 70 per cent wages to turnover ratio. The Liverpool wage bill accounts for all staff, not just the playing squad.

Exactly even with the posting on entire staff rather than just playing staff the wages to turnover has always sat comfortably as one of the lowest in the league between 50 and 60% from my memory over the years.

Where did I say that's what I think? Is that what the club is claiming? That our player wage bill is greater than those clubs?

What is all this narrative based on? Some media reports or factual data? If FSG we're doing this fishy business you think you, Kash and Robbing would be the first to figure it out?

Even being generous on our playing staff rumoured contracts if i remember i struggled to get it over 180m a year. Do what u want with that go do the maths for yourself. If u believe theyre paid 200m more than that so be it lol.

posted on 20/3/25

Eho said i think theyre doing fishy businesss? Thats how we report it fair enough, its just me understanding it better and not thinking we pay crazy wages to playing staff compared to others... When we dont its just reported that way.

Yes, that’s exactly what they’re saying.

posted on 20/3/25

Well maybe not playing staff, but they’re saying we have the second highest wage bill in the league. Not actually sure what the issue is here.

Mamba is truly one-of-one

posted on 20/3/25

Just came out of nowhere and derailed this thread because the club didn't send him a personal dossier of each and every employee at the club

posted on 20/3/25

Mamba asked how or why people point out we post entire club staff and others maybe dont. I pointed out its simple maths and do the numbers.

For example divide 380 mill by 22 playing staff gives an annual salary average of 17 million a year . Vvd is reportedly on around 10/11 mill a year and is our second highest earner.
