What happens if we draw a couple, win the rest and win the Europa.
What if suddenly all the issues we've witnessing for at least 1.5 years get ironed out and it all clicks from now on.
Are fans too far gone to contemplate keeping Ange regardless of what happens from now 'til May?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If we see a complete contradiction to the the form post his first 10 games at the club - then sure, but what chance is there of that, faaaack all. He is a man out of his depth in the Prem.
Question back to you, when we sack him in the summer, do you think another Prem club would hire him?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Probably not. Few managers get sacked in the PL and walk into a new PL job.
I think he'd have to rebuild his career a bit first, but look at Nuno. Never would have guessed that he'd take Forest top 4, after a Spurs failure and a spell in Saudi
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nuno was a competent manager with experience at the highest level - Ange is a chancer that had never managed in a top 10 league before
Additionally - let’s see where Forest are next season, I am pretty sure this their Leicester season and next year they will revert back to type

We should sack him now and bring in Poch til the end of the season. I'm sure the US national team will allow him to combine the two roles for a couple of months.

Yeah of course the league position is not acceptable but let's not forget we had basically the entire first team out for a couple of months. It's more the way we've lost some of them that's really got alarm bells ringing
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you take his first 50 PL, with his 50th being a 4 nil win at City, then he had a win rate comparable to Klopp and Arteta's first 50.
I think where clubs are being rebuilt it is ok to allow a bit of time to iron out issues.
He probably did lose too many in that time. It had been big win or bust, which was my concern. That said, his 49th game was a home loss to Ipswich, which left us 3 points off 3rd, so while the up and down nature of results was frustrating, we were still well in touch and the hope would be that as the season progresses, so the consistency comes.
The form dipped massively with the injuries, so i find it hard to assess that period, how much was him, how much was it the missing players. Certainly did not expect to see more consistency when you have a makeshift defence.
In March though players are back, 1 pt vs Bournemouth & Fulham is a poor return in pretty poor matches.
So now he has no excuses not to start to show what we can do, and i will judge him on every remaining game, added to the last 2. If he chooses to rest too many players for the PL then that is not good enough IMO, and is no excuse for poor performances/results, and it will go against him.
The first 12 and the last 2 and remaining 9 PL fixtures , 23 games of this season when he should have most of the squad fit, so a very decent sample size to see improvements from last season.
SO far P14 W6 L6 D2 = 20 from 42pts. No great at all, with 9 to play.
Its gonna have to read more like W12 L7 D4 (40 from 69), to get closet to saving him....cup or no cup.
We need to put one notion to bed. Mark my words, if he wins the EL, he stays. I've no doubt in my mind about that. The optics of sacking a manager that's just won the second best European trophy will make us a laughing stock. I think it'll give him another season's grace, for sure.
Which works for me because at the end of that season, Poch is available.

I think you have to look more at performances than results. I don't think Klopp and Arteta oversaw a team, two years into the rebuild, that routinely gave the opposition chance after chance after chance. There are major flaws in the tactical set up, even in some of the games on your list of stats that we won. VDV isn't always going to be there for a last ditch tackle. Vicario isn't always going to pull off a worldy. To my mind, we've had too many of those Galatasaray style games where we've defended like schoolboys. Yes, I know we've had injuries but that open style was there long before the players started dropping.
You can't win anything playing this way. We all know it and Frankfurt are about to prove it.
As poor as some of your games have been, injuries aside if he did win the European he'd most likely get a other season no?
I have no opinion as it's your team and club but surely he'd get next season to start at least?
Maybe getting a thrashing off Chelsea or a Dr Tottenham special against Southampton that makes crowd reaction very ugly.
If we keep losing in the league while surviving in the Europa, I think Levy will be very tempted to sack before the end but he might resist to avoid a recurrence of the Jose situation.
I guess I'm not bothered anymore. I'm starting to become as interested if not more in what Iraola does at Bournemouth for the rest of the season since he is now our number 1 target.

I don't think it's in the bag that he stays if he wins the Europa and it shouldn't be. Imagine he racked up over 20 losses in the league and got carried over the line in the Europa? I don't want that manager carrying on for us. I mean the league form has to be an influencing factor in this.
Now he's got a full strength team back there is no reason we should be losing that many more games in the league. But you can already see we have 2 losses in the last 3 (should have been 3 losses) when more and more players have become available.

Not sure 'earned' feels the right word, considering he hasn't earned the extra time he's been getting at the club already over previous managers who were sacked for less. He will be lucky enough to get another season let's say.

The large majority are back. You can pick any time in most club's seasons and they will usually have 1 or 2 injuries in the squads. It's just par for the course. If this manager can't cope with any one player being injured then he is worse than any of us thought.

If we win our first trophy in 17 years (securing a CL place at the same time) then everything else is irrelevant and he will have earned another season at the helm.
However it's $hit or bust because if/when we go out of the Europa he should be sacked the following morning.

As poor as some of your games have been, injuries aside if he did win the European he'd most likely get a other season no?
I have no opinion as it's your team and club but surely he'd get next season to start at least?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't think it's in the bag that he stays if he wins the Europa and it shouldn't be.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He hasn't got a full strength side back yet. Kulu missing. Has Micky started? Richalison still out. When did he last start his strongest side? Not in 2025, unless you can prove otherwise.

How long did he play? And when was the last full strength side started and got past half time with all the players still on the pitch?

Not sure 'earned' feels the right word, considering he hasn't earned the extra time he's been getting at the club already over previous managers who were sacked for less. He will be lucky enough to get another season let's say.

The large majority are back. You can pick any time in most club's seasons and they will usually have 1 or 2 injuries in the squads. It's just par for the course. If this manager can't cope with any one player being injured then he is worse than any of us thought.

One man’s full strength might not be another man’s.
