One of two matches ( West Brom the other ) that would be our harder games on paper to get results from, the remaining I see positive results. The players don't need to get despondent.
Anyway, good news, just realised I had Nick Rockett at 18-1

There was alot of heavy betting just before the start - I missed out
Had I am Maximus but only on a win
No way did Swansea deserve to win that. They did next to nowt in the final third and it was a lapse of concentration by Wilson which allowed them their goal. It was a hard attritional game but the only threats came from us. We could and should have done better from the promising situations we created but as is usual when you don't take chances you get bitten.
JWZ had little to do, Wilson (apart from his lapse) and Fozzie did well enough but were unable to get forward much (apart from some forays by W in the second half) but maybe they were under instruction to stay deeper. The back three were excellent and Phillips deserved his MOM award. The midfield three were also excellent but more as harriers than creators and Jackson and Harness ran their respective socks off. And would you believe it it looked as though J picked up a hamstring injury right at the end.
No need to get despondent as this team are so well organised and resilient.
Well after the euphoria of recent games we're down to earth with a bang. Another game lost that we shouldnt have lost. Disappointing eh.
It wasnt that we didnt create chances cos we did, ok, not much clear cut...but enough for US to win 1 0. I thought Jackson did ok in place of Yates....and maybe missed Elder. I also felt when NML and Barks came on it illustrated why theyve not been playing....Anyway, we go again Tuesday. Cheers. Terry. UTR. 🐏🐏🐏🐏
Spare a thought for Vidal currently navigating Wales. Football results are a minor issue at these worrying times. 🐏
Well that was annoying….
I thought we controlled the game really well without the ball, making Swansea play the way we wanted them to. They didn’t seem to have a clue how to break us down and produced zero threat. Not that we created a great deal either, but we looked a lot more likely to bundle a goal in from a set piece than they did. 0-0 or we nick it was how it felt.
Just one tiny lapse cost us. It was very similar to the one we conceded at Brizzle in January - a good delivery but you felt we should have been able to get something on the ball to prevent it dropping onto their player’s foot for the tap-in.
So not despondent about the performance. Eustace has made us into a functional unit but not one that is going to find wins very easy to come by.
Centre backs were good. Wilson seems to be playing within himself a bit, I wonder if he is carrying a slight knock. We did miss Elder, not least his long throw, though Fozzy was of course steady. Tommo was the pick in midfield with Stretch slightly quiet and Adams relatively subdued. I thought Jackson did well in the first half - I couldn’t tell how good a chance he had near the end to equalise but it looked a reasonable opening.
It’s very hard not to see it going right to the wire.

Never seen so many “L”s and “F”s as I did on the way down, usually several in series. On the way back there was a crash on the Brecon Beacons so we had to retrace our tracks and find a less scenic and much longer route. Safe home now though.

Araf the favourite welsh word.
Today there is a reasonable chance that we will lose one of unwanted records. Tottenham only need to win which I know is far from certain.
I wish we hadn't got rid of Collins, he would have been useful for these last games.
